Can we use a parcel drop-off type service as the UK address to qualify for free shipping? Or would that be using technicalities to defeat the spirit of the law?
You're right about shortages, almost guaranteed. But in reality that's maybe 5% of the real gaming market squabbling with a few lunatic miners while AMD stocks rise - not to mention market exposure as an arguable gpu king - hopefully leading to better mid-range or crossfire cut-down vegas and...
As a standalone collection of components then yes, the X-Box is a good buy. Once you factor online memberships, season passes, inflated game prices, crazy peripheral costs and the likeliness of it breaking just after warranty runs out it becomes a bit of a red herring to me.
When AMD bring the fight to them. Looking like RX Vega is going to be the perfectly placed around/under 1080 performance and, knowing the Red team, they will be priced relatively fairly for the consumer. I don't expect as big a market % shift as the Polaris launch had but I can bet there will be...
I'm sure they do but so would my mining rig. My point was more aimed at the quality of the actual games being released, but optimisation leaves a lot to be desired in modern gaming also. In general the "finished" product tends to generally be inferior to the capabilities or just pretty and badly...
Problem is it's not like there are any real decent games out there at the moment, anyway. Most if not all top games have been out for at least 2 years, others are designed for console so my toilet-laptop could run anything they throw out. Might as well put the GPU's to use mining while we wait.
Never had issues with b-grade stock. I'm pretty sure parts of me are even b-grade and I'm working within (quasi)optimum parameters. But seriously speaking I'd agree with the 99% success odds, and in any betting those are the best odds you can ever have. My b-grade oc-uk 1440p 27" Iiyama has had...
Seems it's been mostly answered by I thought Id add my two cents. It's a weak card to consider an upgrade. Right now either two 480's(which is what I went with) or a single 1070/1080 would really show you a sizeable difference in performance.
980ti is also a great and cheap option now.
Well I'm delighted with my two sweeties, not talking about the Haribo anymore either. Only small overclocks achieved so far but that is with around 20mv undervolt and keeping very quiet so I am very happy with the results. I'd say on a winters day I'll hit 10 and 20k. Now to start thinking...
Just ordered my second reference card, figured wasn't much point forking the extra money for the partner cards since I'll be limited by my first one anyway. Plus, I'm thinking of water-blocks eventually for the two. :)
Hurry up OC, I ordered like 20 minutes ago!
That's really interesting and worrying cause I'm no soldering king and my warranty is a valuable thing to me but it does seem that it's a ticking time-bomb.
I'll see how they software fix it but it's starting to look like it might make sense to trade it in and just get the Nitro even if the...
Oh please tell me this is true, I'll be buying a 4 gig to unlock for crossfire then. Even if I'd have to pick one up second hand in the next while now that they're not producing any "more".
So you are inclined to blame the new technology which for the most proven part (being very conservative here) has caused no problems for anyone and, instead, decide to blame a god-knows-how-old piece of technology that was put through god-knows-how-much stress in its lifetime and specifically...
Manufacturing of the silicone is not refined enough yet to expect high overclocks in my opinion.
Here is a portion that API test, but no DX12 because I still refuse to upgrade to Windows 10, more out of principle than anything else at this stage. But isn't this more of a CPU thing?
API Test...
Here are some initial benchmarks comparing my XFX 390x CC Core edition OC Vs. Saphire RX 480 for those interested. Very reasonable scores I think.
