    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

I still have it and my opinion has not changed. It's a great gaming monitor.

I can't really test it scientifically, but what I can see and feel does not indicate much input lag, if any at all. I do know that Hardware.Info mentioned their input lag testing device had strange results and they asked iiyama for an explanation, but nonetheless it still received an excellent...

Default setting shows signs of grain on the default Windows 10 wallpaper, I only changed the Color setting from User to Normal and it is perfectly acceptable for me. And I'm saying that while having owned several good IPS displays in the past. Hardware.Info also tested the display and came to...

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

I think I can safely say this monitor has no issues with Freesync, at least not with my R9 380. Everything works as expected (including CS:GO) and I really like it!

CS:GO has not given me issues so far. I think this is a winner. :)

You can't enable Freesync in Radeon Settings when it is turned off in the OSD. It becomes a normal 144 Hz monitor at that point. I will try CS:GO tonight.

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

So I have used the GB2488HSU-B2 for about an hour now, and these are my findings: - Freesync range: 35-120 Hz, enabling Freesync in the OSD will disable 144 Hz in Windows. Also no driver needed. - Freesync flickering issues: Not present so far. - Corruption during alt-tab: No issues so far...

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

I've just ordered one to test, it will arrive Friday. :) If I like it I will keep it, otherwise it will be returned. As I have also owned the G2460PF, I can compare it to that. I am not a display professional, so my eyes will be the judge. However, I don't think it takes much to be better than...

None of these gaming monitors are pretty in my opinion. The ViewSonic should be available at the end of March in Europe. The iiyama is only 280 Euro right now here, very tempted to try one to be honest. :p

It doesn't help this monitor is unavailable in the US, otherwise we would have some reviews by now I guess. I've decided to wait a bit longer for the ViewSonic XG2401 and some reviews. ViewSonic told me the FreeSync range is 48-144 Hz and the first user reviews on Amazon are quite good.

    AOC G2460PF

Nope, this is the first and only one I have personally seen with this nonsense. A good monitor reports its refresh rates correctly to Windows, the default driver should be enough in that case. AOC messed up and is patching it using a driver. A non-certified driver which requires you to temporary...

    AOC G2460PF

I doubt the alt-tab issue is fixable with a monitor driver. The fact this monitor already relies on a driver to reach the advertised Freesync range is still beyond me. And honestly, don't expect much support from AOC anymore. They released the driver, it's done. On to the next model...

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

Anyone ordered it yet? I've compared the Hardware.Info test results with the results from the LG 24GM77 and it is a close call a lot of times. The colors on the iiyama should be a fair bit better than the AOC. And it is a lot better than the GB2488HSU-B1 in pretty much every aspect. I will...

    3m DP cable + 290 = fail

DP has some compatibility issues with some cable-monitor-graphics card combinations. If you tried two different cables already I would say it's not going to work with the 290.

Why would you use any monitor connection that wasn't DisplayPort?

In what way is it superior when using a standard 1080p monitor? For 4K, yes, you'll need DisplayPort but for anything below 1440p is does not have any advantages at all. Again, why? What is the advantage really. Dispay quality will be equal. If you use 60Hz 4K, yes. If you use 1080p, or even...

Wasn't there a requirement of the high frequency being equal or greater than lowest*2.5 or something like that? So, 35*2.5=87.5. It should be supported right? Based on 35-120 range.

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

I am Dutch, what do you want to know from the Dutch reviews? I am seriously considering this monitor, I had the AOC G2460PF but that thing just plain sucks... 120 Hz max on Freesync is not an issue since the difference between 120 and 144 Hz is not noticeable in my opinion, but I would have...

    gB2488HSU-B2 - 24" iiyama Red Eagle

According to a few Dutch websites, it's 30-120 Hz. I'm not sure about the 30 Hz floor because I have also seen 35 Hz, but I am 100% sure about the 120 Hz top. Setting the monitor to 144 Hz disables Freesync entirely.

    AOC G2460PF

I have that cable, it did not fix any of the problems I had with this monitor. Also, Accell is the retail brandname of BizLink, and guess what cable is included with the AOC monitor? Right, a BizLink cable which is pretty much identical to the Accell cable.

    AOC G2460PF

I could live with the colors, but I have to agree with weltysparrow. This is one of the worst TN panels I have seen in years. After returning this monitor, I used a 2004 Samsung TN monitor for a few days and it had crazy better colors and contrast than the AOC. I also noticed, the AOC when cold...
