I fitted the above cooling unit and 2 fans to a large Corsair case to cool my cpu - a 1156 socket I think. The cpu is overheating and I don't think the cooling unit is working/pumping. I assume I need to replace the whole thing (not sure if there is any liquid in it - it was fitted in 2014 and...
Hi and thanks. I didn't clear the CMOS after changing the battery.
The 2 digit LED readout wasn't even illuminating...so I did a check on the Corsair PSU as per various instructions and the fan didn't kick at all...dead. So I took a Corsair RM850 out of a spare desktop I had which was planned...
Ah well. Changed thr motherboard battery but still nothing happening. However, I notice the 2 leds and the ROG illuminated sign lights are on but a slight flicker...so I will test the PSU next.
Thank you - I knew I was over-thinking things but felt it must be something perhaps straight-forward. And I never thought about the mother-board battery! I'll replace that today. Thank you again.
I've a large desktop, which I built back in 2014 and loaded with hard discs, fans...high spec back then. I don't use it that often now but leave it sleeping in my garden office which is heated. Its been working fine for years. Last week I went to waken it and the screen came up ok but the...
I have a BIOS issue on this - a desktop I built not long after the i7 4820K CPU 3.70Ghz was released.
Its worked perfectly well then recently noticed the fans were running all the time but the temps were ok.
Downloaded AI Suite as it wasn't there and timkered with fans with litle progress, so...
AERO 15 NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB 15.6" 144Hz IPS, i7-10750H Gaming Laptop- bought in October. I believe I can add a second SSD to this and also more RAM.... can anyone tell me which components to buy please?
Having spent hours looking atvarious posts here, and other forum reviews, I am angling towards this laptop, although tempted by the spec of the HP Envy 15 - ep0010na with the 32Gb RAM and 2TBSSD
Any better options? Not gaming but lots of business use and fair amount of graphics. And the need...
Found this interesting... thanks. I have a Dell XPS9333 8Gb RAM, 500Gb SSD i7 4510U 2.00Ghz 2.6GHz which has been well used. I like the size..ie its light but the touch screen ability is knackered after I took the thing apart lol. (connection poor) I am looking to replace it as I use it in the...
I had a Hitron router working ok with a netgear switch and a netgear nighthawk (to help with the wifi in my garden office) and everything was ok. The hitron was a relic of a VM business account I had but that eventually got switched off when we switched to a domestic HUB3.0. Since then the...
Thanks flowrider.
I was looking for something more complicated! I followed what you said and switched to another Corsair RM850 - and the computer started up ok.
It seems that the psu I had the hard drives and SSD on was working at first then seems to have packed up. By plugging all the cables...
BuiMSI t up the board with 64GB of ram; intel 6700 processor; corsair 850 psu (actually two to cope with additional HDs eventually in the massive Corsair case), a samsung SSD, with 2 4TB HDs and a MSI GTX 970
I had he board starting up and the bios working, but couldn't get the thing to...
