I'm talking about performance. AMD have caught Nvidia with raster performance. If they improve ray tracing significantly, then the difference could just be price. Do you think Nvidia will release another 80 card for £650?
Prior to the 3000 launch, I remember posts on here from people with a 2080Ti saying that their card was running out of "grunt" at 4k. Obviously, settings can be turned down to improve frame rates and / or to reduce vram usage but some prefer the full bells whistles experience.
It's a different world now. The new GPUs will cost more to produce, pretty much like everything else but unless Nvidia and / or AMD are just after low volume, high margin sales, they'll have to price accordingly.
More info about the CPU. It's an ES1 with limited overclocking so probably not the best deal in the world.

Maybe not the full chip, possibly in between for the 4090Ti. They got a lot of grief for the small uplifts at the higher end of the 3000 series. I expect the differences will greater this time.

Is AMD developing...
Unfortunately not, next tier up.
Remember the poll was created well before the price cuts which were quite substantial.
Weren't you one of the posters that said AMD didn't need to or wouldn't cut prices?
