Bundle Quality Control Checklist - Low Max Temp ?

Ahhh, you see I read that as "Maximum Temperature [reached before the system cut out]" Not, as in, the highest the temperature recorded during the test. I was concerned that my new setup had a thermal 'ceiling' of 73C... Perhaps I should contact support, or do we think have I've simply grossly...

Thanks, that's encouraging. I'm wasn't really sure what to expect, it just sounded low.

Bundle Quality Control Checklist - Low Max Temp ?

Hey guys, I just received delivery of my DEFCON 1k - Asus Strix Z270F Gaming - Intel Core i7 7700k @ 4.80GHz Overclocked Kabylake Bundle and noticed on the Quality Control Checklist included in the box, next to "CPU Stress Testing Passed", the "Maximum Temperature" recorded as just 73C. I...

    1080Ti SLI on i7 4770K

Looking at this and other similar threads that seems to be the consensus, I'll stay put for now. Thanks for the input though.

    1080Ti SLI on i7 4770K

Yes it is, good shout though as it does have a habit of reverting to defaults!

    1080Ti SLI on i7 4770K

Sorry, a good question. It was part of an Overclockers bundle, came pre-overclocked at 4.2 I think.

    1080Ti SLI on i7 4770K

Hello folks I've just upgraded and am currently running 1080Ti SLI with an Acer Predator x34A @ 3440x1440 I'm not at all disappointed with the performance, however as some games are more CPU-dependent than others I'm not always hitting as higher frames as I'd like. Is it worth my upgrading...

LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

I bought one of these and, honestly, the bleed wasn't an issue for me. Just out of interest, I took a photo and the photo looks exactly like the many that have been posted throughout this thread, ie - a LOT worse than it looks IRL.

LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

I'm guessing that adapter essentially throttles the bandwidth of the connection to back to HDMI though? It's taken some digging, but I've managed to find a 5m DisplayPort 1.2 cable that does the requisite 17.28Gbps. I'll let you know how I go.

LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

Ok, so it looks like the monitor doesn't even have a DVI port! I need a 10m DisplayPort 1.2 cable retailing at around the £100 mark. Ouch!

LG to Introduce 34-inch IPS 21:9 UltraWide (Model UM95) monitor

I'm thinking about buying one of these but I have concerns about its suitability. For various reasons, my PC is located 10m away from my desk/screen and I currently have a 10m dual-link DVI-D cable installed between the two. It's heavily cable-tied, run down the back of immovable units, going...

    Upgrade from PB278Q?

Since posting I started looking at Superwide. I play a wide variety of games and I'm concerned about how many of them are likely to support these... 'odd' resolutions. It's only really the last year or two that 2560x1440 support has become a standard option in games, what's it like for...

    Upgrade from PB278Q?

Hi guys, currently been running Asus PB278Q on 2 x GTX 780's quite happily for some time now. Starting to get itchy for a monitor upgrade if one is viable. Any suggestions on this, although the IPS 1440p is a great screen, I really like the idea of going 32" but haven't seen an IPS at this...

    2560 x 1440 GPU power needed

I've a Corsair TX 650W... following a quick google looks like it should be able to handle it provided I'm not OC'ing. So, SLi is best bang-for-buck for 2560x1440 then?

    2560 x 1440 GPU power needed

I'm contemplating upgrading to a 2560x1440 screen (probably the Asus PB278Q) but I really don't want to sacrifice fps, I currently run a single GTX 670 with 2048MB. What's my best option in terms of the necessary GPU upgrade? do I buy another 670 and go SLI, or do I sell my existing card and...
