i was looking at the specs diff between the 450 and the 40 and there is not much. i think i would also go for the 40d mp are not everything.

I assume its a HDR image? regardless of that looks good i think the only thing that puts me off slightly is the left hand side of the lighthouse as its darker than the right and makes the colours look a little dull.
