    OCUK price matching?

Added - delivery from saturday. Think i questioned the 5900x price that was reduced the day after I purchased and they refunded the difference. Speak to their customer service and see what they say.

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Nvidia are going to have to make up for lost sales in China $400 million estimated (current quarter). They are not going to do that by making things cheaper. I could be wrong and hope so. edit - clarification...

    One for the electricians

Not an electrician, but whenever i've worked in places with remote power, it usually has its own consumer unit. Hopefully an electrician will come by and advise you, otherwise speak to an electrician. Working on gas and seeing some peoples ideas of what is acceptable can occasionally be...

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

I hope your right, but I believe companies will prefer higher margins over sales. We have all seen how game companies have prioritised consoles over pc, the days of crysis are over. I fear it will only get worse and more will move to consoles, especially with the problems faced with hacking on pc.

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

TBH don't think prices will change. Increased production costs and people (including me) paying silly money for gpus in the past will give both amd and nvidia the confidence to carry on charging these prices. Going off Jensons shareholder talk, 30 series will fit between 40 series and not change...

Please help speccing laptop for old man!

Hey guys and girls. Need a bit of help with laptop for the old boy. He would like a laptop for photo editing with a little bit of video editing and some audio improving (recently had all the video 2000 and VHS family vids converted to digital). He wants a laptop because funnily enough most of...

Had a quick look on the website, no cheats for battlefield or cod, think the above might be right.

Central heating system pressure: combi boiler gauge and filling loop gauge say different things

You get approx 0.1 bar of pressure for every metre head, the gauge in your airing cupboard is lower than your boiler, hence discrepancy. The boiler is the most important thing to have pressure to avoid heat exchanger damage. 1 bar is fine, I usually leave boilers at 1.2 or slightly below when...

CPU idle temp up to 60 C

What software are you using to monitor- try nothing but Ryzen master and disable icue, or motherboard software as mentioned above.

    Show us your kitty cats

Yeah funnily enough I bought the Ava cat food for the first time a few weeks before the warnings (usually use science plan), luckily my cat had turned her nose up as they often do so I don't believe she ate much, if any, thank god. Was horrible to hear about the side affects of this thing.

    Show us your kitty cats

*****, sorry to hear bud, hopefully she starts eating! Never easy when you have to make this kind of decision, been there and I was in tears, not afraid to admit it, they are family. Anyways I really hope she improves-sending positive thoughts your way.

    PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

] We all called him the trash panda (jovially). After about 6 months of getting his scraps (and copious amounts of beer) I lost it with him. Everyone else in our group used to ask the person who got the kill if there was anything they needed. Tis but a game but when you've got nothing and...

    PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Looking at maybe reinstalling after a few years of COD (not warzone) What's the state of the game like now? Haven't played for like 2 or 3 years (since I fell out with a guy in the group I played with - always getting to my kills and grabbing all the best stuff first). Has it been polished any...

In the current GPU market, is the smart thing to do just to settle for the best APU you can get?

This is something I would find interesting to see, benchmark wise at least. I'm guessing drivers might be an issue though.

    5000 Series Undervolting

No sorry bud, mb got sprayed with fan bearing oil so has been replaced with a different make and model, found that the tomahawk max b450 fed more power to the CPU than my new one as well. I enabled advanced PBO, set PBO limits to disabled. I think I ended up setting a negative co of -20 on two...

In the current GPU market, is the smart thing to do just to settle for the best APU you can get?

Suppose it would be ok if you were only interested in playing through unplayed steam library of older games e.t.c. otherwise looks like last gen console performance at 1080p or worse (lowest settings) with 5700g.

    Help with Curve Optimiser

There is a guy on here called the asgard who seems to know his stuff, search for a thread called 5000 series undervolting, sure he'll be about to help you. I found in my very limited experience that undervolting increased multicore but decreased single core, but that was just me with my limited...

    AMD 5900x cooling

Just looked at a review (old one) and the load temp results of your cooler were about the same as a hyper 212 Evo (decent but budget cooler), so you would be asking a lot from it tbh. With my chip the NH-C14S let's it get to 85c max gaming (averages in the 70's) and is shown to be in the middle...

I wouldn't trust that (even though it could suggest it), my motherboard caused kernel crashes in 3d mark timespy graphics test 2 specifically.

    New PC restarting

Just had a similar issue (kernel power crashes) turned out to be my motherboard, but could quite easily be PSU or anything hardware. As for temps, my 5900x can hit a max of 85c while gaming but usually averages in the 70's so yours is running quite a bit cooler. Have you tried stressing gpu...
