    Horrible noises

Hi Folks, I built my first ever customer loop last year, it's not the prettiest job in the world but it does the job and is reliable. However, for quite a while now, months in fact, it makes some horrible noises like water dripping onto a hotplate, a drip followed by a fizzing. Everytime I...

    3090 FE I/O Bracket Replacement

Hi Folks, Does anyone know where I can get a single or double slot I/O bracket for my 3090FE? I'm building a custom loop and would like to vertical mount it but my Fractal Design mount only supports upto a double slot bracket. Many Thanks

    GPU Backplate copies

Hi all, Does anyone know of anywhere that can copy a GPU backplate for me? I want to do some mods to one I've got for my next build but they're not available to buy separately and I don't want to drill holes in something I can't replace. It's a 3090FE Alphacool Eisblock for reference. Many...

    Upgrading Thermal Pads

@mp5works Thanks, I've ordered 1mm, 2mm and 3mm pads. Hopefully they're not coming via Suez!

AIB On Voiding Warranty via Watercooling GPU?

It's difficult because it seems to depend on the country, the company, the person answering the questions and the person asking them. I contacted MSI a few years ago regarding watercooling my 980tis and was told that removing the stock cooler and/or replacing it with a waterblock would NOT void...

    Rear Distro Plate

Hi Folks, I was looking at getting something like the EK FLT120 to mount on the rear panel of my Fractal Define 7 Compact but I'd really like a rear plate that covers the whole rear panel, like the Phanteks D140, but gutted to see they do make a D120 but it isn't the same design. I'm going to...

    Upgrading Thermal Pads

Cheers @momo56 I've actually already got the Odyssey Pads in 1.5mm to do that same mod but then I decided to go the whole hog anyway!

    Upgrading Thermal Pads

Hi folks, I'm planning/amassing kit to build a watercooled system with a 3090FE, I've been in touch with Alphacool, they use a mix of 1, 2 and 3mm thermal pads with a 3.5w/mk rating and I've been given anecdotal temperature performance figures. I'd like to upgrade to something in the 12w/mk...

StoreMI, is it right for Mi?

Hi folks, I'm building a new 5600X and X570 system, upgrading from my trusty old 4670k and Z87. I currently have a 500gb Sata SSD and a 1TB NVME drive but I'm fed up of always having to uninstall games to download some of the huge new titles. So I'm considering buying a couple of 2TB HDD and a...

    SATA III to PCIE Adaptor

Hi Folks, I've just got a M.2 SSD for Xmas and have had to buy a PCIE Adaptor for it as my mobo is too old to have M.2 built in. I also have a Samsung 850 EVO SATA III drive that I boot from, is there any advantage to also getting an adaptor for that and running it in a PCIE slot as opposed to...

    Which 2070 Super to buy?

Ditto, arrived last week and upgraded from a pair of 980ti in SLI. I was going to order a Zotac one as it was cheap and they have a 5yr warranty but it sold just as I was about to order, I've had MSI Gaming gpus and boards for about 6 years and always been impressed with the quality and zero...

    2070 Super Zotac vs MSI

Hi folks, What do we think, Zotac Super AMP Extreme or MSI Gaming X Trio? Will most likely be running overclocked. Zotac has a 5 year warranty to MSI' 3 years, but I've been running MSI cards and boards for the donkeys years with zero issues.

    How does SLI actually work?

Oh yes, we had 2 systems running SLI Voodoo2 for playing Kingpin: Life of Crime. 24mb of raw gaming memory.

    How does SLI actually work?

Thanks, I watched the Linus video on NVLink which appears to fix part of the SLI problems but he also mentions unlike the Quadro cards that function as one, the RTX range doesn't have that enabled?

    How does SLI actually work?

Hi folks, I'm currently running a pair of 980tis in SLI and it's a shame that fewer and fewer titles are supporting it. I don't really understand how it all works as when it further involved that just hardware, it's all magic to me so I might just be waffling nonsense. From reading and...

    980ti to 2070 super?

I'm waiting to see the results of a 2080 Super, otherwise I'll go 2080ti. Was playing the division 2 last night, 980ti on Ultra settings 1440p, 50fps, thankfully I have GSync to ease my pain slightly.

    Upgrade now or wait?

I think it will hinge on the 2080 Super, if it could undercut the 2080ti much like the 980ti did with the Titan X then I'd probably, maybe, possibly go with one of them. Could save me 5/600 quid to go towards my next PC.

    Upgrade now or wait?

As it stands a 2080ti costs roughly the same as my 980ti setup did nearly 5 years ago, I've kept it longer as it was expensive but I was happy to spend the money because I knew it'd run everything I wanted at decent speeds and with everything looking lovely. I would like to upgrade but whatever...

    Upgrade now or wait?

Yo yo yo, I'm currently running a pair of 980tis in SLI and gaming at 1440p, unfortunately with the dwindling amount of support for SLI I'm looking at upgrading to a single powerful card. My question is do I sell the 980tis whilst I can still get a few quid for them and bite the bullet for a...
