    Massive Car insurance costs?

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking in my younger years. I'd get older, accrue more experience without incident and then I could drive something a bit more tasty. Actually my 2004 1.9 tdi golf that I had 11 years ago was relatively cheaper compared to what I now have to pay even though I...

    PCN - challengeable?

I'm quite local to you and I've heard of people getting tickets there recently. Apparently they've closed that stretch of road in the laye evenings as it's usually quiet and is made up of straights and roundabouts that the 'yoof' love messing about on. Best to post up your PCN on mse forums as...

    Massive Car insurance costs?

I ran a multi car quote from admiral and got 7.5k! Two separate policies are coming in at 3k. What is going on, prices vary so wildly right now.

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Inner London. Tbh with the standard of driving it makes sense to be higher but by more than triple if not more I'm not sure. Other than area I've always wondered what profession gets the lowest prices.

Out of interest when you say a decent price roughly how much? Want one as it could be a very portable yet powerful sff.

    Massive Car insurance costs?

Been looking for a second car for the other half. Got quoted around £1050 about a month ago and now quotes are coming in for £1500+, it's only a 2012 ct200h. My S5 was £1850 just this year.

    *** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

Beware bird poo, act quickly now. Silly me, noticed a bird strike on my bonnet and waited two days thinking I would get onto it in the weekend. Saw it flaking and sticking up today and thought I'd blast it at the supermarket jet wash. Just trying to work out how to post a photo on here but...

Anyone seeing car insurance pricing increases?

Was speaking to my bro in law this week about him dreading his renewal after his mates renewal went up from ~2k to 6.5k! Just got a renewal from Churchill and its gone from £1850 to 2983. No change in circumstance, 10 years NCB, 0 points. What is going on, how are they justifying these massive...

https://youtu.be/TwRTAcew704 Video used auto-foam but im sure applies to touchless too. I bought some touchless a few weeks back but haven't gotten around to washing it yet. Plan on using it in a pump sprayer as a prewash so loosen all the crud before I jet wash it off and then proceed with a...

Found ATS doing the ps4s for roughly the same price. Wondering what should I go for? Ps5 or ps4s?

    **Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Yeah I thought that was the case but hard finding a comparison between the sport 5 and the sport s5 . I've had the Bridgestone Potenza S001 on an 2017 Audi S5 for about 18 months for 15k miles and the rears are running low and stupidly I hadn't rotated them to even out the wear on the...

    **Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Looking at changing my tyres in the next few months, f1autocentres have michelin pilot sport 5 in 255/35/19 at ~£750 with a £100 cashback atm. I'm just a little confused with the naming scheme, are the pilot sports s5 a different tyre all together? Also ahould I get the 4s instead for a little...

First Car with Family in Mind

Really practical, especially with those magic back seats however the suspension is shocking. I remember driving back home with my daughter when she was first born and I crept over each speed bump and pothole as the ride was so harsh and crashy. Beautiful colour and looks in great condition btw.

    Bank park management limited

They kept on sending letters threatening to take you court if you didn't pay up. Unfortunately eventually they did actually take it to court. From experience, normally after a year or so of ignoring them they would give up but not always. You just never know.

    Bank park management limited

I've had some in the past which I have ignored however last year had to pay £480 for two that were with the same parking company that were for two different cars over a period which dated back to 2020 & 2021. They must be getting desperate and actually carrying out their threats of court.

Taking out a loan to pay a PCP?

Yep, got the B&O system and would love to improve the soundstage and clarity as I seem to listen yo most of my music during drives now rather than in the house. Life :(

Taking out a loan to pay a PCP?

Really kind of you to offer, I think you're a bit far for me but thanks. I'm thinking of doing it in stages, the 3 front speakers first and then working on the door speakers later on. Not too fussed about bass right now but would would love to see where you put the sound deadening. You should...

Taking out a loan to pay a PCP?

Slightly off topic but noticed you mentioned having the speakers upgraded too, I've been looking at the speakers Bruce Miranda has available as I plan on keeping the car for awhile too. Did you take pictures of the work you did?

I've got that meguairs brush and I struggle getting it in between the front brake disks and calipers on my car. Also its a nightmare to clean out and takes ages to dry out. Does hold a lot of suds though. Been thinking of getting one like this for awhile https://amzn.eu/d/2kHwyit
