Re the grandfathered in piece - you are not getting my point, so let me try again - of those that joined before 2010 and the 1000 post limit - it would be interesting to know what percentage of 20 to 30 year olds , at that point in 2010, had hit the 1000 post count vs 30 to 40 or 40 to 50 or...

Agree that we have to accept not having access to MM - largely disagree with the rest - especially the genuine member comment - contribution shouldn’t be based on a volumetric basis only..People are different, have different demands on their time and have different interests and motivations...

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

It’s not an excuse, not everyone wants to create inane posts for the sake of keeping a post count high. Scrolling through overclockers various sub forums passively/lurking can be quite cathartic. That’s not to say I wouldn’t post if I could help someone with a query - but just thinking of...

and you are the voice of people - only willing to listen to opinions and views that match your own ??? Equally - you can keep your ill informed views to yourself. What are forums for if not to foster debate and general conversation - without being rude or disparaging one would suggest. Your...

Nearly 40% = less than 40% - just like a ******* politician. Over 60% of my posts are in other forums - outside of MM… and I haven’t posted in the MM for quite a time (even before being excluded under the new rules) … but you spin it whichever way you wish…. Oh - and I wasn’t questioning the...

“This is quite stupid”….taken from an effective writing course or a fine example of how to win friends and influence people? As an aside - what qualification do you need to become a mod? I can do a cracking impersonation of Roy Kent if that is of any use?

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

Really!!! Revoke access for 100's of accounts, that originally met the criteria and were then given grandfather rights when the criteria changed, all for for "1 bad apple"..... If that was the reason - that would be some slap dash profiling.....Now, I don't think that was the reason - but I'm...

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

You keep spammy accounts/traders out by focusing on spammy accounts/traders - the moderators could quite easily spot any suspect accounts without enforcing the more stringent criteria on all those who were provided grandfather rights…. If, however, they want to reward those that post any old...

I do get the point re contributing to the community, I really do - but not everyone either wants to or can natter on about nothing in particular. I got called out for having around half of my posts in the MM - but I haven’t sold or bought anything in MM for years - and when I did, I always...

    IMPORTANT: Members Market access

It all depends on what you mean by meaningful… I’m happy to contribute when I feel I can, but I’m not on the forums all the time - it’s not my life….. so you can stick your “post a week” wherever you like - it just makes you sound petty, argumentative and a little sad to be honest…As I said -...

just disappointed really..................Been here quite a while - more an observer than anything.. I contribute when I have something to say - I thought the length of membership and post count "thing" was to help weed out scammers... Now feels like you want to reward those that post anything.

CPU Fans stopped working after swapping GPU Gigabyte Z590 Vision D

I have updated my bios - also dropped a webnote across to Gigabyte - not expecting much, but thought it worth a try…. Tis a weird one

CPU Fans stopped working after swapping GPU Gigabyte Z590 Vision D

Thanks for your reply - I’m not overly concerned - just hope that it’s not an indication of future problems… and wondered whether anyone else had experienced such a problem…

CPU Fans stopped working after swapping GPU Gigabyte Z590 Vision D

Strange one this - when I remove and swap (or just reseat) my GPU - all fans stop working on next reboot - CPU and case fans - I have to load optimised settings in the BIOS and then reload my saved setting - then it works ok again.... Not a show stopper - but I am a little concerned that this...

    11700K Temps

I ended up down clocking my 11600k a little to avoid the high voltages and temps. Another way is to just lock in a fixed Vcore and test, test, test. I do think these chips are voltage hungry when boosting to pl2…. You could try reducing pl2 to a lower wattage…

    Marvell motherboard drivers??? x58a-ud7

I’d stick with the intel ports. In fact I did when I had to make the choice a few years back. Peak throughout will be higher with the marvel - but if you run an Assd benchmark you will probably find the tests which are more representative of general use-age to favour the intel ports. I went...
