It sounded not bad to us so went for it. Will be quite a boost and secures another lengthy discounted contract. I hate the end of term dance with virgin with a passion anyhow.
I just checked my online account and see an upgrade offer from M100 to M350 for £5 extra a month.
For me that's £29.99 a month and if I understand it begins a new 18 month contract from upgrade date. I've 6 months left on my current contract.
Does it sound reasonable?
I've done it, got used to it, but now moved away would never do it again through choice.
Ours was the A406 in London in a section where it reduces to a single carriageway 30mph. The house was a large victorian single glazed sash windowed type. The pollution is a real issue with black matter...
The type of sim is irrelevant now since the ofcom ruling from last year.
Perhaps the router is latching onto a 3g signal instead. There are apps that work with your router allowing you to check.
Well not quite total apathy. Contract price increased at 12 months and I agreed to stay if the increase was minimal which they offered. Then the price rise 3 months after Well, that was too much so left.
Best is 50/30 using MiFi/mobile as I don't have 4g router until today. Average seems to be 20/15 which has been adequate for 4k prime streaming.
I'm hoping today's router delivery might eek some stronger signal.
I'm taking a 30 day sim so not tied if it doesn't work out. £18.75 p/m for unlimited everything with Smarty on the Three network. I can keep this price for as long as I stay connected but it is a sign up offer price due to end imminently.
Been called back after putting in cancellation. £21 for 100 bb but I don't like this constant increase. Had two increases in three months now. Going to give 4g bb a try and see how that goes.
So the smarty sim turned up today, the one I'm considering ditching cable for. It's not as great as my mobiles EE sim speed wise. Pulling 30Mb down against 55Mb (EE) and indoors that drops to around 20Mb.
I'm stuck deciding the hardware now. Don't know whether to get this external MikroTik kit...
This is using a pocket wifi and my EE sim so not too bad. It so far hasn't made a massive difference whether the pocket wifi was indoors or outside looking towards the mast. But location of the device to the wifi signal does make a big difference obviously.
None of this matters until I get the...
Ah you're such a help @WJA96 . I've ordered the three sim so will see what a standard connection throws up when it arrives. And will seek out @Steveocee as I'll need some extra self knowledge ;)
Sadly I don't qualify for MM :p
Perfect! The archer is in that mode now with the virgin connection.
I'm assuming this route, rather than a dedicated internal 4g router, will always be better?
And you mentioned the marketplace sometimes have these. OC has a marketplace?
