the bios on the laptop is extremely limited with what you can do with it, the only way really is to modify your bios which is risky unless you 100% know what youre doing.

@Atom80 been a while since i last heard anything about this, any news on the fixes ive requested for aorus fusion? starting to wonder whether they will ever get fixed. also turns out that setting up macros in the program is also completely broken, i wish i could use the macro engine program...

tagging @Atom80 in this too it only seems to happen with the models that have the per key rgb backlit keyboards, the older models like the x7 pro-sync didnt have the issue, it was an entirely different coating and i never experienced wear. the newer models have had an entire design overhaul and...

i have had the exact same issue with my x7 dt v8. mendit wanted me to sent the laptop in for repair to fix it, but atom80 managed to convince them to give me a set of keycaps to replace them. i can agree ive never seen this problem before, the keycaps appear to be coated in some low quality...

flashing the vbios is a little risky but if you have nothing to lose then sure? Though I’d wait to hear from @Atom80 first as for the cmos, you only need to remove the battery then the cmos from instructions i was given on the official aorus forums (which no longer exist) a few years ago

have you tried downloading the bios update and flashing it that way? https://resources.aorus.com/Product/Download/X5%20v6 if not, you can try resetting the cmos by unplugging the battery then unplugging this https://i.imgur.com/0jXqrDO.png, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in followed by the...

its been about a year now since i got this laptop, i have been pretty patient. in the past year i have continued to hopefully get some sort of response from aorus on the status of an update. i ether get no response from aorus via contacting them directly, or asking in here to refer these issues...

hmmmm, so just doing my weekly check to see if theres an aorus fusion update when i saw an update for drivers update, installing it caused drivers update to break. heres a video: https://gfycat.com/UnlinedMiserlyCranefly uninstalling it and reinstalling it from the version on the website doesnt...

im going to have to say no, theres about a 2mm gap between the ssd and the bottom of the laptop and that heatsink is pretty thick. id suggest buying a regular m.2 ssd like one from samsung as theyre very fast. you can buy a 2mm thick thermal pad to lay on top and will be enough to dissipate any...

yes, you can open it up without voiding warranty and upgrade the storage and ram fine. that hdd should fit, you can also upgrade any m.2 slots you have as well.

I think the best way is to request a bios mod here https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/ Then supply the latest version of your bios from the aorus website, the bios file inside the flashing software supplied by aorus can be extracted with 7zip

    Aorus Owner's Lounge

probably not, would have to be done at the bios level and ive never seen an option for enabling onboard graphics in a laptop bios supplied by aorus. you would have to unlock the bios which i wouldnt recommend you do unless you know what youre doing.

alright, im sure either @Atom80 or @baloney will read what has been said and can give some insight. ive used mendit before as its aorus' go-to repair service for the uk, although ive had to send it back a few times because they messed something up during a repair, their customer service is...

hmm right ok, thanks for the info. so the trick is to apply a layer of liquid metal as thin as humanly possible. as for the conformal coating, its just a precaution if i ever need to send the laptop off for repair (im unsure how mendit handles machines that have been repasted with liquid metal...

yeah i looked that up when i was doing research. but what about all the other components? lets say my laptop is upright in my bag, i knock my bag and some of the liquid metal happens to escape and fall anywhere on the motherboard? after all, there still is a gap between the pcb and the cold...
