Kcom, it's the only ISP available in Hull.
I'd prefer something off the shelf, I'll have a look into these, thank you.
I'll have a look a these as well, thanks.
My current router is Zyxel VMG3925-B10b which has been working fine, but now (from looking at the manufacturers website) its end of life.
I've been in touch with my ISP to try and get a new router, but they've refused as the current one "isn't faulty", which is true, but it's also not going to...
Eurogamer did a recent write-up of how backwards compatibility will work on the Series S.

I've never really had issues with download speeds on Xbox, but recently (last couple of weeks) they've been all over the place. I'm connected via Ethernet cable, nothing is running in the background and nothing else is currently connected to the internet, only my Xbox.
My speeds are all over...
I've not used the PS Now app, but if it works the same way as the EA Access app, you press and hold the PS button on the controller and it'll bring up the quick menu (can't remember if that's it name) on the left side and close it from there.
Edit - just seen your edit 2, I'd probably been a...
Yes, for some reasons I didn't even think about parental controls, I'll set them up. Cheers.
Still don't like the fact though that if I lose internet access (happened a few times this year) I won't be able to play any games. I thought that MS dropped all the constant online restrictions.
So my Xbox one s (all digital) just arrived and I've set it up and tbh my first impressions of it are awful.
The download speed is shocking bad, I've a 150Mbps down / 30Mbps up with a Open NAT and a ping of 16 (According to the network test on Xbox). Yet anything I downloaded the speed wildly...
That's how I did it as well, opened a credit account with them, applied the code for £50 off (it worked straight away) then payed in full with debit card. I managed to get it for just under £84 (delivery included), it was a no-brainer at that price.
Normally the logic I use, just wasn't sure with firmware updates. As for the features like you said, none that I'm interested in or need, So I'll leave it be.
Appreciate your reply, Thanks.
Sorry if it's a stupid question.
Just to quickly pre-face it, I suffer from OCD so every time I have to update my router I'll spend hours going over each setting making sure nothing has changed, then do the same thing the following days.
So, how important is it to install firmware updates that...
Yea, it's got to be if it's the same for both of us.
Yea, imagine if that was in the small print somewhere, "We'll let you play all these game for a decent price" But... You have to re-download the games every month. :p:D
Thanks for checking for me. :)
I was just expecting it to say 365 days, like it does when you purchase a year of PS+, but for me I bought 12 months EA Access and it says the games expire in 27 (was 30 when I started it) days, if it resets after that period e.g 12 months x 30 days instead of 365. That fine, I was just...
Would you mind doing me a quick favour?
It's just to check on a EA Access game you've downloaded - press options -> Information. Just to see when it says it expires, as I bought 12 months as well, but every game I download says it expires in 27 days.
I've had a look and actually found the box and the receipt was inside, it's actually 8 years old. The model number on the side of the box is CMPSU-650TX and after a little bit of Google it seems that it was made by Seasonic. (Which is/was highly regarded as reliable PSU makers?) So even after 8...
Was just asking in another thread about re-using old parts for a new PC, would a Corsair 650TX still be "alright"? It's about 5 years old and tbh I've not used my PC much in the time I've had it.
THB, I think the 2600 will be a massive upgrade from what I currently have and I don't feel the need for the latest.
It's not the original, I've had it about 5ish years and I've not really used my PC that much. I did a lot of research when I got it and it was highly recommend, so hopefully...
Hello,
I've not really used my PC for much in a long time and was just wondering if it'd be alright to reuse old(er) parts in a new PC?
My current PC (it's really old)
Q6600
2GB of Ram
8800GT
128GB Samsung 850 Evo
Corsair 650TX
Zalman Z9 Plus case
As you can see above its ancient.
The new...
