I think most of the dell screens these days use practically the same coating tbh. Most likely the same.
The U2719D is a 8-bit panel so technically not as capable as the S2721DGF for image editing either. Provided of course, that you have some calibration tool. Both my S2721DGF's reach way above...
S3220DGF is a huge VA panel. So its going to have far better blacks, but much worse motion and viewing angles. Still thats personal preference.
S2721DHF is 1080p at 27" and is also a VA panel.
The panel doesnt have any zoning on the backlight and isnt bright enough for HDR. So really no point using that feature.
In regards to 10bit vs 8bit. The only really noticeable place is in gradients which appear much smoother on 10bit due to more colours. Might as well use it with it on.
Does your graphics card actually support displayport 1.4? Its possible if its older it might not have the display bandwidth to actually support up to 165hz.
Just checked. Displayport 1.2a and HDMI 1.4. Thats your issue.
Got both mine running at 165hz properly now. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your GPU. nVidia only added support for this display in their latest driver.
My issue was nVidia Inspector. I was using multi-display power saver to keep my 1080ti downclocking while idle. Theres a bug with...
My first order shipped and arrived within 2 days. Second one estimated the 19th as well, but has apparently shipped, just no tracking data.
I guess dell ran out of its initial stock so no longer offered next day delivery. Could also have been free next day delivery with the 48hour sale they had...
You can determine what brightness you want, either by using the monitor itself or letting the software tell you based of off the light sensor in the Spyder.
Its default setting targets 6500k whitepoint and gamma of 2.2
You also do not want to mess with the contrast at all, so make sure you reset...
Its not really oversaturated for me. After I installed the monitor driver from dells website, it put a colour profile in automatically. It looks pretty good.
One thing to note, monitor does get pretty hot. Using it next to a 60hz monitor, I have to have nVidia Inspector running multi-display power saver, otherwise my 1080ti doesn't downclock...
Yeah I have the exact same tint difference.
Looking at my U2515H I can see now that it also has glow in the corners, but it never bothered me because it was the same colour on each side.
