For any audio folk - Pete from [REDACTED] has dawbench results up and it's good news. 3700x performs between 9700k and 9900k, 3900x has some issues but handily beats the 9900k regardless.
Finished it the other night, enjoyed it overall. Didn't love the emphasis on body horror over good old creepy, but they did kick things off with a clip of one of the living dead movies & had an entire discussion about "The Thing" so not sure what I was expecting really. And yeah, sooo many plot...

Yeah, marketing materials always need a pinch of salt. Either way, >18% extra cash for <10% (probably best case) performance doesn't strike me as a great deal. Have more or less talked myself into getting a 3700x unless audio performance either turns out to be really bad or scales unexpectedly...

What's the methodology? Lower percentile results are by nature going to highlight outliers, so could have just been a bad run if they only do the test once? Could be a synchronisation issue across ccxs, but is a game that old using >12 threads? Interesting anyway, especially as lower percentile...
