I made a rookie mistake and had the hdmi in the back of the pc and not in the GPU slot so that was probably why I wasn’t getting signal on my monitor

set up windows and checked and it says the correct processor and the correct RAM. Restarted the pc and it boots up fine, hopefully that’s that now! Thank you for your help I really appreciate it

I double checked the manual and the ram slots I used are the ones it suggests to use, I have powered up with the HMDI in the GPU slot and my usb with windows installer on after the LED’s came on and went off like In the video, the pc booted up onto the windows installer screen

I have just powered up the computer with HDMI plugged in along with USB with windows installed, and after the LED’s came on and went off the PC booted up and came onto the windows installation screen, I’m guessing this is a good sign?

okay so what happens after I turn on power is. 1- fans turn on and RGB from ram lights up etc, and the red light on the CPU stays on for a few seconds and then goes off. 2- the fans go quieter for a second and then pick up speed again, the light goes down to the VGA for a few seconds, turns...

my PSU came with a cable that has 4 separate connectors on it, one 6 pin along with one 2 pin and then another 6x2 pin. My PSU is semi modular though so that’s all the cables that came with it

I will have to go back and double check but I do remember that I press the power on, the fans and lights come on. The CPU red light shines for about 3 seconds, the fans shut off, the light goes off and then it powered up and then the VGA light comes on for about the same time and then the boot...

Would I need to take the motherboard etc out of the case? so to start I’d take out the GPU, and all the connections, then just plug in the 24 pin, the cpu cable, one ram stick and the GPU? And then see if it starts up from there?

The fans power up fine, the GPU fans are working, the ram RGB is lighting up fine but there isn’t a display showing up on my monitor.

sorry I should have been more clear in my original post, honestly, I’m looking for help on the internal components. I’ve looked for hours and I can’t seem to decide on a set build, mainly because I’m not sure if I’m getting a good PC for my money. The CPU I’m looking at is the Ryzen 5 3600X...

The PC will mainly be used for gaming and basic daily tasks. It will be my first time building a PC, struggling to get my head around the parts and compatibility etc. Would appreciate any help given, as said in the title my budget is around $1000 (£800) Thanks :)

I just did a quick check on the one I saw it was a match version or something, it was poor performance wise I think it was 100BHP and just 150ft-lbs of torque, I’ll see if I can find one of the better models haha
