I see two people mentioning a brightness of 17 and 15. Is this out of 100. Are you guys living in pitch black darkness or is this the norm to set the screen brightness so low ? My monitor is currently on 50. Stock was set to 70.

I don't know what the hell LG is doing but i just received my second monitor today and yea.. This one is stuffed as well. The box is in perfect condition making me believe the monitor was already damaged even before it left the LG factory.

The issue that person is having does not sound like the monitor to me. Sounds like the issue is somewhere else.

You are not going to have problems setting this monitor to 120hz. You literally go to the screen settings and turn it on. It takes 10 seconds. No one is going to have an issue setting a 144hz panel to 120hz.

Here in South Africa the LG costs the same as the almost 4 year old Asus PG348Q so the choice was obvious.

So something i never thought of going from 2560x1080 to 3440x1440. My 1080Ti runs damn hot. It's like an oven next to me haha. Usually ran 70 degrees in summer now hitting 80 plus.

It's a native 144hz pannel. You literally cannot break the Gsync version as it's technically downclocked. Been running mine at 120hz for the past week now. It's absolutely perfect. As someone else mentioned i would be shocked if someone could not run this monitor at 120hz. Would even bet money...

Howzit. I did your tests and could not see any of the problems you are referring to. Makes sense though since this is a native 144hz screen downclocked to 120hz

The screen felt super responsive to me. Much faster than my 29inch LG ultrawide. I mean it's a Gsync panel. Remember the Freesync version has higher input lag than the Gsync version and obviously that should also be good enough for gamers seeing as these screens are aimed towards that group...

You can feel a difference from 70 to 120 yes but i mean it's minor. When your'e in the action and playing on a 120hz gsync monitor it all feels so good you not going to have a bad time. Also there is no reason why you need to run everything on Ultra. If you make some adjustments here and there...

My screen looks 100% identical to @katscan when viewing a black image. I highly recommend vesa mounting the display. I'm very happy with the display. The colors are excellent and 120hz with gsync feels out of this world.
