    Tabletop Warhammer?

A couple more Grey Knights from my Combat Patrol set, so only three done so far, this Purgator patrol are tiny and detailed but still fun to paint, once the five Purgators in the patrol are done I can move on to Terminators which are a lot bigger and hopefully easier. I used magnets again for...

why is my 2TB SSD showing up as 1TB?

I just dealt with this last week after cloning a 500GB SSD to 2TB M2 NVME. All you need to do is right click on the new drive in disk management and then select Extend Volume. You can then assign the rest of the drive amount to all of it, or a much of it as you want.

The Greatest GPU of all time

9800 pro was insanely affordable compared to many subsequent card releases. Came out in late 2003, yet by Half Life 2's release in mid 2004 you could get used ones for £100 at CEX which is exactly what I did to play Half Life 2. It was also the first GPU I ever used Steam on as a Half Life 2...

    Parasyte a.k.a Need More Tentacles?

The manga/comic original is excellent and actually a lot more subtle and restrained than you might think despite the horror tentacles trope. Seeing this is a side story I'm not quite as interested, but it's definitely worth seeking out the comic which has some similar elements to the movie The...

First build in 13 years. Would appreciate some advice!

I Just put a WD black 770 2tb Nvme drive in my PC last week for £107. Faster than the blue 580 quoted here and cheaper. On on of the major online sellers that sells everything. Also I don't think just 2tb is enough for a new PC. With OS on it too that's not much room for newer games that...

    Best Jack, Nick or Nicholas

Seeing that both Jim and Jack can be used as alternatives for the name James, then Jim "Nick Nick" Davidson is also in with a shout.

    Tabletop Warhammer?

After taking a long break after my 20 marine display, this is my first one out of the Grey Knights combat patrol box, a Purgator. I can see now in the detailed images a lot of mistakes I hadn't noticed when painting, but these are lot smaller and more detailed than the Primaris Marines I did, so...

    ***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I ended up checking out a lot of Star Wars sets in between MOCS and got Emperor's Throne Room 75352 on a deal that I couldn't resist (£67 down from £90 on Amazon), will do a mini review below. Return of the Jedi was one of the first films I ever saw at the cinema, with this representing...

Is Teflon the best mouse mat material?

I can't abide any kind of soft fabric mouse surface, always preferred smooth surfaces. A while back purchased a £20 metal one with a plastic surface only for the exposed metal coating to strip over time. Looked for other alternatives, nothing seemed good, I also use high DPI on mouse so don't...

    ***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I'm still making MOCS out of the 1500 piece 11032 classic creator set, though I did buy a few 2 for £20 vehicle sets to use as MOC pieces. I had enough pieces left to make some icy scenes, so here's my take on a brick built Hoth Wampa ice cave playset. There is already a UCS set in a similar...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Both look really great, I found black ones so hard to do, but you've nailed them. Really subtle effects from your zenathol and the edge highlights look really sweet. They really look like black painted metal to me, both consistent and clearly part of the same patrol. Really nice crackling on...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Noxia, those black marines are looking great, couple of dabs of paint for their eyes and lenses and you could even call them done. Very smooth looking finish and nice highlights that blend in really well. Both edge highlight methods you did look store display ready to me and very dextrous...

Is everyone's PC (near) silent at idle?

Very close to completely silent, eco mode PSU with fan not running almost all the time. GPU fanless mode till 59c. ML120s and 140s, so no bearing noise from fans at all, at full blast 2000 rpm they're extremely loud, but at 500 or so rpm are as quiet as be quiet silent wings at same rpm that I...

    ***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I ended up watching a lot of MOC (my own creation) videos on Youtube and decided I'd like to try designing a few, but after checking out Pick a Brick or Bricklink, so many of the better or more interesting pieces are too pricey to buy in bulk, at least for a beginner unsure of a specific design...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Just to add some opinion that you're being too hard on yourself Noxia as you've shown some good stuff and I think you're too quick to be critical of a job and strip it. With my 20 chapter marine display I just kept going to try finish it even though I knew it could be done a lot better, just...

    Death Stranding

I enjoyed these rants and also found Death Stranding to be a mixed bag. At their best Kojima games give an alluring sense of another world of stylistic espionage, Solid Snake and especially Big Boss are great characters that truly capture the imagination, easily letting players fill in the gaps...

13 year old is world's first to beat OG Tetris, Sky News anchor belittles him on national TV

Mini rant incoming as this kid impressed me a lot with a legitimate achievement, I'm dismayed by her sheer ignorance as a newsperson: Firstly is this Sky lady not aware of Tetris' storied and newsworthy history? Created by Soviet academic Alexey Pajitnov behind the iron curtain using the bare...

    ***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I don't have much Lego at all, but I'm posting more here due to some policy changes. I got the Great Wave as an Xmas present, was only £52.50 at Argos before Xmas, or £90 at John Lewis, so I made sure it was the cheaper option. Really nice set but has so many similar tiny pieces, also it's quite...

    Quality of Razor mice?

Had a Razer Lachesis for 10 years that still works fine, now a Razer Lancehead for about 4 years still in perfect condition. Both heavy use working full time from home and gaming on them. Razer have very good support for left handed or ambidextrous styles that many other brands don't, which is...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Many thanks for kind words, I really appreciate it. I wanted to do a Crimson Fist for reasons you've mentioned, but didn't have the shoulder herald to do so, I also really like the Dark blue and red hands combo. My Ultramarine came out so dark due to a too heavy wash that I almost turned it into...
