I picked eleven up in the steam sale ready for when my g2 arrives.
Hopefully I can find enough space to play it.
I'll no doubt be cack at it so if there are some lower ranked players on here I may see you in three lol
No tracking information here either, I would have thought if they missed their shipping target we would have had an email letting us know they're delayed.
Fingers crossed we all get them today
Looking forward to mine being delivered, managed to bag a 3080 as well so that should be here Friday.
The tracking is an interesting one, lots of different opinions out there but I think for my use it will be fine, non-competitive and mostly using it in sims (can't wait for MS Flight Sim VR to...
To be fair to him, it is helping me to decide which card to pick. Think I'll go for a 6800XT as they're close enough performance wise and I'm getting fed up with Nvidia fanboys/sponsored posts coming into an AMD thread and posting non-stop Nvidia propaganda. I can read reviews and make my mind...
I haven't managed to grab a 6800XT yet - but for the people who have from OC they made the judgement that managing to get one even if the price is higher than a competitor, that's better for them than not getting one at all. They are hard to get hold of at the moment so if you could get one...
Forgive me if I'm asking a question thats already been answered (I can't always keep up with the threads on here), Gibbo mentioned when discussing the additional non-XT 6800 availability next week that they were told that no more reference 68000XTs were being produced. He also hinted at some...
I'll happily volunteer to acquire it if it's available lol... need an upgrade to drive the Reverb G2 I'm wating for on 1st Dec (well OK its a long shot but worth a try lol)
I completely understand the situation regarding supply and that matches my own view of Nvidia and AMD causing the issues, or at least not helping them. I was paraphrasing the Nvidia spiel about supply not being the issue.
On the plus side at least now we have competition in the enthusiast GPU...
She won't see it though as you had to "order her Christmas present online due to covid and it would spoil the surprise if she was watching when it was delivered"... Just make sure you then have something decent to give her on Christmas day ;)
Wonder if this is one reason stock levels for launch are uncertain...

I haven't purchase an AMD reference board before so apologies if this is a dumb question. From what you said it sounds like all reference boards are made by the same manufacturer so it doesn't matter which board partner you get one from, the only difference is likely to be the box and label?
And where does that leave me if I was going to buy myself a new GPU (6800XT if benchmarks stack up) as a present for Christmas? Oh who am I kidding... Christmas is an excuse, I need a GPU upgrade anyway, the challenge is more about getting hold of one before Christmas.
It all feels like top trumps in here at times, the problem being that it's all based on hearsay and guesswork. People trying to make themselves feel justified in their purchasing decisions and brand loyalty by putting other people's opinions down. The days of sensible discussions are long gone...
Thank goodness for that, I was just coming into the forum to check that as I was getting concerned about the amount of moisture on my clothes after being out in the rain, thanks for your proactive stance on this lol.
More importantly is the water ray-traced and how many fps faster would it be...
I can't see any benefit to putting 24GB on the 6900. The 3090 having that amount of ram is mainly of benefit to content creators, 3D artists and others who are using the card for productivity. AMD are targeting their cards at gamers and also not pretending it makes 8k gaming a reality so there's...
