No one buying or massive amounts of stock

i'll be very generous to nvidia. 3080 launch price + inflation and we might have a deal.

BROWSE THE NVIDIA RTX 4000 SERIES AT OcUK !!

i have no ill will towards retailers, but with Nvidia's whole attitude and approach to this generation even if i was in desperate need for a new card (my 3080 is still doing me proud) and had infinite wealth (i very much haven't), i'd have trouble pulling the trigger on any of these offerings...

*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

the large VRAM pool was the only thing that gave the 3090 a place in the market as a prosumer card. the 10% performance boost over a 3080 is a terrible value proposition otherwise. the baseline is the 3080 and it was a sub £700 card at launch. people are trying to do mental dances to get...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

the 3080/3070 were good products for reasonable prices. reason has long since abandoned us.

    nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti/3070-ti reviews thread

my only hope is that somehow nvidia get done in by their own greed like this did last time they tried to capitalise on a terrible landscape for their customers and took a massive stock dip as a result.

    3080Ti listing live

£1500 for essentially an overclocked 3080 eagle with a couple more gigs of VRAM bolted on and gimped mining abilties. anyone considering that anything but an astonishingly bad deal needs to be certified. steve at GN has it right in giving it an awful review.

    RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

wanted to get a 5900x from OCUK but no news about the possibility of putting in an order any time soon and the end of the tax year coming up means i had to offer my scalp to someone else. £750 with a £190 motherboard isn't that bad in the scheme of things (i'm using it for work as much as...

Upgrade, nearly here 5900x or 5950x.

begs the question, when will their scareness end? does anyone have a clue when you'll be able to order one? the thread on here hasn't been updated since the beginning of january.

it's always a drag buying memory when it's an immediate new standard. you pay out the nose for it and performance is rarely better until software matures.

    *** AMD "Zen 4" thread (inc AM5/APU discussion) ***

makes sense. they couldn't do anything with the APU designs they came up with for consoles last time around because the CPU side was so *******, nothing to stop them this time.

they stayed up for a good 30 minutes, which in the age of bots and scalpers and bots is an eternity. hopefully that sort of pricing doesn't become normal.

is there any reason to think 5900x stock will actually arrive somewhere that i can actually buy it next week?

12 and 16GB GPU is NOT "A Gimmick"

the way the pipeline is going, a fast SSD combined with low latency I/O, bus bandwidth and VRAM speed are all more important than raw pool size. DX12's direct storage is based around this whole philosophy, as are UE5's biggest new features going forward, it'd be better to have a modest pool of...

Nvidia to limit hash rate of RTX3060 GPU's

it makes sense from nvidia's point of view. they're not making money from crypto as their inventory would've been eaten up regardless. this way they get to gouge the miners for all they can while stemming the flow of second hand cards hitting the market when the next crash happens. i leave my...

So Sick of the GPU situation

i mentioned this in another thread, but as of yet nobody with any power is losing money because of crypto (and lots of hardware companies are making it). that'll all change when the new consoles get cracked and their fairly decent GPUs with loads of GDDR6 are gobbled up by miners. console makers...

    Second hand price insanity!

that's because it was undertaken by hobbyists. if whoever is sourcing thousands of GPUs going straight to farms all over china sees a big win in cracking modern consoles, they'll have more than a few kids on a discord working on it. you could mine on the xbox one last gen but performance was...

    Second hand price insanity!

now they've already done laptops, i look forward to crypto gremlins rootkitting consoles and realising they have capable GPUs with plenty of VRAM in them too. given that those things are sold at a loss in order to make up for it through games and services, i imagine the console makers won't...
