OK thanks There is one additional cable a 4+4 pin but I assume that's a spare for the cpu.

Thanks for the advise. It does say 480w capable across the 12v rail so wouldn't that mean it would be spread between the 2 pci express cables (8 pin plus 6 pin)?

That's what the plan was and yes it's a k version highly over clock able but the issue is my new graphics card for some reason won't display an image on it. If you ready my first post you will see the issues I have had . Not sure why as it supply's uefi bios but nevertheless no image
