I suspect the 5800 (Navi 21?) will be affordable to a large part of the market and will probably be similar to the RTX 2080 in performance, i.e. a good 4k GPU. The RX 5700 XT was targetted at 2560 x 1536 afterall.
Ideally, it will be built with RDNA v2 and 7nm+ as I know they had some power...
There's a bit more news / a rumour about high end Navi cards in 2020 here:
http://www.redgamingtech.com/navi-20-series-is-known-internally-as-the-nvidia-killer-exclusive/
The GPU codenames are Navi 21 and Navi 23 according to the source.
Ideally, I would want a high GPU with similar price / performance to the rx 570 8gb (pretty similar to my R9 390 in performance), which is around £130. At present, they are struggling to make GPUs with double / tripple the performance of this card for a price that reflects the performance...
Good to see new high end GPU development confirmed by AMD. The language used "we have a rich 7 nm portfolio beyond the products that we have already announced in the upcoming quarters" does suggest they aren't exactly rushing, it's possible they have chosen to strategically delay high end...
Thanks, I'm curious to know if this mod can enable TAA, I think its a pretty significant upgrade if so. I'll see if anyone knows the answer.
If you have the mod installed, perhaps you could test it and let me know if it works?
I seem to remember trying to enable Temporal AA with the game's ini...
I think I could be wrong about Navi 21, since Polaris 21 and Polaris 22 were both low end / mobile chips. Basically, I don't think we have any reliable information about the RX 5800 or RX 5900 yet.
Hopefully I'm not stating something that's really obvious to everyone else...
It could be meaningful. But, if Navi 10 and Navi 12 are both 'Performance' rated parts, then Navi 12 may simply be a lower tier 'performance' GPU. Or put another way, another mid tier GPU, perhaps the RX 5600. This seems more likely as not much time has passed since the 5700 XT was launched.
I don't think the Navi 12 chip exists (as the RX 5800). Why call it the Navi 12 (rather than Navi 20), if it's such a powerful chip?
Or, it's a low end chip, which confusingly has a slightly higher number than the 5700 XT (perhaps just to indicate that it was created later).
AMD increased chip...
I really hope 2077 has some decent Anti Aliasing options, like TAA. The FXAA is quite weak in the Witcher 3 and I use several SweetFX FXAA shaders to make up for it, which blurs text a lot. The game will definately benefit from better AA if most people struggle to run at 4k.
Apparently, the...
Yeah, I've seen that, it doesn't confirm anything else. The Navi 12 could still end up being a low end GPU.
The poster KOMACHI doesn't say why he/she thinks Navi 12 is a big GPU. I don't mean to P.iss on the GPU news bonfire...
If AMD can offer a high end GPU for the same 'performance per £' of the current RX 5000 series (The XT is quite powerful for just a 9 teraflop GPU), I'm sold. I won't feel like I'm wasting money on a GPU that will be obsolete in a couple of years.
I noticed a lot of people saying that teraflops...
Funny. But I think they'd just cut the price of the overpriced RTX 2080 TI (and still make a considerable profit anyway).
I expect Nvidia is feverishly working on 7nm GPUs for 2020 to compete with AMD's new chips.
Yeah, I would expect Desktop GPU prices to drop £50-100 within 1-2 months of the new console launches. Especially if consoles offer similar GPU performance to Nvidia's high end cards.
On the other hand, prices can sometimes be quite stubborn near to Christmas.
Yes, so far there's been no evidence that Arcturus is for gaming, in fact one of the guys at AMD hinted that it had no graphics capability. I think it's purely for 'compute' related tasks, e.g. not aimed at consumers.
One possibility is that it could be used in the PS5 for Ray Tracing (working...
I hope so. It maybe the smart thing to do for them, to catch Nvidia off guard. But you gotta wonder why, if they have something, why they haven't already released it, especially since the RTX 2070 Super beats everything AMD is offering.
All that's been suggested so far by AMD is RDNA 2 (7nm+) in 2020:

An unofficial roadmap suggests Q1/Q2 for Navi 20 (7nm):
