The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

Yea, I recently checked 2nd hand prices on eBay thinking of selling mine and realised why they are selling for circa £450.00 in the UK. They can easily make circa £80.00 a month mining.

not sure whether to go through amc or tp

I had a crash in a company car in my mid 20's and argued to the hilt how it was not my fault with the company insurers, it factually was not my fault. A driver hit me side on leaving a junction on a dual carriageway. The argument ended with the insurers each accepting 50/50 liability and both...

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

Are you arguing pertinant to the lack of performance of my o/c 2600k or my Vega 56 or both? I am lost...My 2600k runs stable at circa 4.6 ghz, and my vega 56 rund at circa 1650mhz core and 980mhz HMB. I play games at 1080p 60fps, I have no issues even with an outlier such as cyberpunk 2077.

The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

4 years and 173 pages since the OP. I bought my Vega 56 Pulse from OCUK on clearance for £220.00, wrongly not as I stated in an earlier post today purchased in circa 2019, but in circa 2018. Either way now in 2021, the RX 6600xt has been released; circa 80% additional performance of a 2018 GPU...

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

I get the joke and laughed out loud, but at just circa 115 watts for my overclocked i7 2600k, its realy nothing to worry about. I can game at 1080p 60fps on my cheap a/f CPU that costs me a few quid more a year than even the most efficient AMD CPU.

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

The 1600AF at least in the UK, is almost non existent and was even circa 2 years ago selling for the same as a 2600. I bought my Vega 56 from OCUK for £220.00 circa 2 or 3 years ago. At half the price and half the performance of the 6600XT that is stagnation. Vega 56 and similar still gives...

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

RTX 3060ti at £299...my samsung HBM Vega 56 can fetch circa £450 on eBay. I could sell it to pay for a rx 6600xt at £399.00 and have a few quid left over..I would rather put it on a shelf in my office as a keep sake and give the greddy cnts nowt.

Always contact your insurer when you have an accident, you pay them to deal with such things. Your policy will almost certainly require you to inform them of a claim or accident within just a few days. Contacting your insurer will not jeopardise your NCB, nor will it result in any detrimental...

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

Pertinant to just my gaming a system...an 11400F running at maximum clocks on an MSI B560M PRO-VDH, with 16GB of Ram and my current O/C Vega 56 all utilizing my now almost two decade old water cooling loop, same PC case and 850 W Corsair PSU will probably be my best upgrade path. My old tech...

not sure whether to go through amc or tp

An old man in his 90's who clearly should not have been driving, just shy of 2 years ago crashed into the side of my car with my then three and a half year old daughter in the back. I was simply going straight across a roundabout from let's say my 6 o clock (UK roads), at his junction of his 9 o...

My i7 2600K build is still good 10 years on - What current CPU has best VFM over the next 10 years?

I love reading through these type of threads. Back in circa 2015 (as good as my memory can recall date wise) I bought a refurbished ASUS p8p67 motherboard from Poland shipped to the U.K for circa £80.00, a second hand i5 2500k off eBay for circa £80.00, a second hand GTX 970 windforce off eBay...

Exactly, each equivalent generation cost more with little if any performance increase. The GTX 970 vs the GTX 1060 3 or 6gb 1 or 2 percent performance upgrade is a perfect example.

The 8800 GT / 9800 GT and the HD 4850 was the last time I seen a true mainstream value GPU with a worthwhile increase in performance and decrease in price.

I paid £220 quid for a customer return Vega 56 pulse with 6 months warranty from overclockers almost 3 years ago, that and second hand 1070's are the 1080p / 1440p market.

Agree with you and then some regarding 1080p gaming mate. I play 1920 x 1200 60fps. I run an overclocked Vega 56, overclocked custom water cooled 2600k, 8GB Ram and run my games from a hard drive. Anything more is overkill.

Playing The Witcher 3 at 1920 x 1200 60FPS, maximum settings (minus hair-works), HD textures and increased grass density... according to MSI Afterburner, I use as much as circa 3GB VRAM. Playing Horizon Zero Dawn at 1920 x 1200 60FPS, high settings, POV at 90 and motion blur turned...

    k. You quoted and retorted to the back end of a quick “too and fro” of an initial post of mine. What you ask for is all in my original post...as I said previously.
