    RX 5600 XT vRAM utilisation

Just had a thought would selection of direct X version have anything to do with it? I've launched civ each time with Directx 12

    RX 5600 XT vRAM utilisation

The only point of difference of how I would run the game is that I had it windowed rather than full screen, but as far as I knew that's a non issue? I might drop and lift the settings to see if it has any impact.

    RX 5600 XT vRAM utilisation

It ran flawlessly in the game as far as I could tell, the level of detail compared to my old laptop with a Nvidia 760m on lowish settings was an eye opener. It was strange all other statistics including temperature where low and it didn't sound or look like there was any issue with, just the...

    RX 5600 XT vRAM utilisation

I have a Sapphire RX 5600 XT in a new build and on the first game (Civilization VI on high settings) i've fired it up on for a test run the VRAM utilisation % seems high sitting at 88% - 90% of the 6GB for the duration of play. Is this a normal occurrence to be so consistently high during play...

    First time start up advice

Everything seems grand except I can't quite fond the GPU anywhere in the bios, tried hardware, PCI and integrated peripherals and no sign of any mention ofngpu never mind the card. I know it's getting power as it's lit up. Any tips? My final question (I promise). Is if I'm installing windows...

    First time start up advice

I was under the impression it needed done prior to the operating system. I stand corrected After 1/ it's actually done a reboot itself after I selected default values setup and presents a screen now saying select boot device or insert boot media and select a key. however it's not giving the...

    First time start up advice

Poor planning so I don't have a usb or disc available today to download the chipset and motherboard drivers to. I'm tempted to use the disc today (assuming it has the chipset driver of any description on it?) and do a round of updates once setups are complete. The rest makes sense

    First time start up advice

Does that mean I'll need to create a usb for the chipset driver pre operating system install? I had thought the msi disc had the chipset drivers on it, but perhaps not? So I'm reading it as at the moment 1/. Boot up, select default values setup 2/ go into BIOS and enable m.2 slot for boot...

Thanks for the clarity does it mean it take the F2 to load the defaults then enter the bios after that's set?

    First time start up advice

So I've booted up my new system and its on a blank screen listing the processor, ram details, USB, SATA detected devices etc. I have the option to F1 run setup or F2 load defaults and continue. What's recommended at this point to do? Just to clarify can anyone point to the order in which to...

    OcUK RX5600XT review thread

Didn't want to spam with a new thread for I think a simple query. My 5600 xt is installed on the board and I'm ready to boot up but noticed in the quick guide from sapphire it's referencing a CD for card installation which I can categorically state did not come in my packaging. Will it still...

    Rookie CPU cooler install advice

Well it's on, with some difficulty I might add. On inspection i can see some thermal paste has squeezed out on the heatsink surface of the cooler, likely due to the accidental twisting movement. There was a bit of fiddling, pressure and movement in trying to get the clips on each side fastened...
