Hehe, knew it would only be a matter of time until a redditor connected the dots and replied here :')
I replied on reddit but I guess I'll go into a little more detail here-
GPU I upgraded concurrently to a 2080S from a 1070Ti. The most intensive game I've tested so far is Red Dead 2, and it's...
All set up. Looks so much larger in person, what a monitor this is!

Edit: I tried inserting an image and now the image tag seems to be stuck there :/
One would hope so for a 389 inch ultrawide ;)
In all seriousness, one would hope that would be the minimum on something this price. I've had my current ultrawide (29UM68-P) 4 years, so I'd like to own this new one for at least that long without issues.
I see what you mean, but as I say- the other LG Ultragear UW monitors (namely the 34GK950F) go on sale routinely in the US with no such discount in the UK. They have more of a market for them in the US just due to sheer market size difference, so they can 'afford' to discount them in the US.
Early adopters? This monitor has officially been out quite a long time, it just hasn't been available in the UK.
The price will not drop any time soon in the UK, I'm sure of that.
Good luck paying less than that if you're in the UK, shipping and import will make it rise above that.
Edit: reading the comment below, I misunderstood what you were trying to say. I've seen a lot of US only discounts on the smaller 34GK950F that have never translated to the UK market, so don't...
It's just me. I'm happy with 60fps as I've known nothing else. It's the size and other strengths that brought me to this monitor. I'd rather run games at higher settings at 60fps than struggle to get 144fps, which isn't feasible even with a 2080Ti as you've said.
If nothing else this would give...
So I have this pre-ordered and am eagerly awaiting stock.
I'm currently running a 1070Ti which will be going to my girlfriend once I upgrade my GPU. My budget won't stretch to a 2080Ti but will accommodate purchasing a 2080 Super.
Will the 2080 Super run this display at medium/high settings 60fps?
