Asus ProArt X670E WiFi - Windows 11 Clean Install Issues

On the newer Windows 11 install I did recently, the command 'OOBE\BYPASSNRO' wasn't working. So I had to first input 'cd OOBE' and then input 'BYPASSNRO' for it to work.

How to set up a fall-back internet connection when the primary one fails?

In theory, if there are 2 WiFi networks having same credentials then its more likely that your devices would connect with the one having the strongest signal regardless if the internet is accessible or not from there. So you'd have to turn off the non-internet WiFi network to force move all...

    Advice with NAS decision

+1 to the above suggestion. You can start with existing PC and can change or upgrade components as required. A proprietary NAS whilst may seem attractive for ease of setup but is very likely to again lead to your current predicament.

    Moveing Partitions

Try MiniTool Partition Wizard. I remember I had resized non-adjacent partitions this way.

What PC games are you playing?

I built roads all over except the mountain area, once I got the long-range level 3 truck, never went anywhere without it. Its fun driving it on difficult terrain but having to keep bringing it in for repairs not so much.

What PC games are you playing?

Just finished Death Stranding. 100+ hours played and level 219 reached but WTH did I just play. Gonna have to watch some videos to make sense of it all. The ending went on like foreover so much going on couldn't keep up. Next up Red Dead Redemption 2.

    HD Partitions - 2023 views on Size/Structure

I always go with separate partitions for the windows drive and the data drive(s). Seems more structured and in the event I have to reinstall windows then I only have to worry about the c drive, though these days thats pretty rare unless a windows update breaks something. On my Lenovo Thinkpad...

    Recommended Anti virus software suite

I can recommend Eset Internet Security, been using it since years on my gaming pc and laptop. Has a very sleek interface, all the usual antivirus bits plus a firewall. It also blocks access to malware/malicious websites (which I find quite helpful on top of my local AdGuard DNS Sever) and a...

What film did you watch last night?

Nefarious (2023) 8/10 90 minutes flown by. Pretty interesting conversations between the convict and the shrink. +10 for the convict's performance, -2 for the shrink's.

Official EA SPORTS FC 24 Thread

Aye, latest football game is like the code in my mates circle so not like there's much of a choice for me anyway. Atleast until "FIFA" come back with something better.

Check Your 4090's 12vhpwr Connectors To Make Sure They are in Pristine Condition

I hope they properly test it out this time to make sure it actually solves the problem. A problem which should never have existed in the first place.

Old CPUs and GPUs not really an issue in the real world

I'm running a 6900XT on a 4790k system with a 4k/60Hz monitor and honestly I'm finding it difficult to justify splashing out on a new cpu/mb/ram combo. I want to but objectively its not making financial sense in my mind especially in this market. Mostly playing single-player games like Red Dead...

    Premier League Sack Race 2022/23

Quite surprised by Tuchel sacking, even the poll had 0 votes. Thought he had a decent last season given Chelsea's predicament, this season its hardly 5 games in and gone.

    Top Gun: Maverick

Oh man what a movie. Awesome cinematography with those bumps, thuds, intensity, pressure and expressions captured during flight. Clearly on another level than the biggest CGI-fest action scenes shot these days which TBH just feel too passive. I'd recommended this to all movie-goers irrespective...

    Hardwired Home Network

Regarding the crimper tool, I'd suggest having a look at the "pass-through" crimper tool and RJ45 plugs rather than the usual crimper and plugs. This is because when I was doing this I did not have a great experience in getting crimps right with the usual tool. It took me several tries to get...

** Resident Evil Village Thread **

Saw the deluxe edition for £21.99 at CDKeys and bought in a jiffy. Looking into this now it seems the deluxe edition isn't really worth much, you really only get an under-powered non-upgradable handgun in the game. Glad I checked this thread though regarding issues in the steam version. I...

Looking great guys, alternate / green options are good but dark is just too awesome. Everything seems to pop out and feels easier to read. Good job :).

Mesh WIFI 6 or WIFI 5

Another vote for WiFi 6 and TP-Link Omada EAP660 APs. I just recently upgraded about a week ago from a similar situation as to you OP (75Mbps internet / WiFi devices' slowdowns) and the difference is substantial, especially coming from a single DD-WRT AP to 2x EAP660 HDs. Coverage is dense and...

    *** Microsoft Windows 11 Thoughts & Discussion Thread ***

Had a spare SSD lying around so gave Windows 11 a try. Prepared USB for bypassing supposed requirements before installing on a 4790k system. Overall pretty smooth experience, all drivers were installed along-with updates, however I really missed the option for turning on labels/ungrouping...
