    ** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

I just can't stop looking at the 49. It just has everything and reasonably future proof. Not to mention the 10% work discount that will be available once it's on general availability...

How long do you hold a grudge against online / offline retailers?

As others have said, definitely depends how the company handles issues. Used to buy a lot of stuff from ****** but had some really poor service from them (and they use a rubbish courier) and when I discovered places like Scan and OC sold pretty much the same stuff (and use DPD :D) it seemed a...

Macbook pro 16 or a gaming laptop

I got myself one of these 16" last month and honestly the keyboard alone makes it worth it over my 2018 13" with butterfly. The larger screen is amazing and the extra RAM and graphics make it a doddle to edit 4k video. and the battery is still class given the massive screen running at 70%+...

    Azure or AWS

I've used AWS for some time at both work and home and have used it for doing some hybrid infrastructure things. Definitely worth considering on-prem as you have far more control and flexibility with your own server and long-term costing savings are real. That said, AWS is super easy to spin up...

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

SuperHub 3 doesn't support QoS, you'd need some third-party gear to enable these features. Still supposed to be coming in 2020, although wouldn't be surprised if they blame covid and defer to next year

Thoughts on using a personal desktop as work machine?

+1 for going down the VM route. Probably comes down to the size and culture of your company, if you're in a smaller company like mine and you have an IT/Security steer you may be able to convince them given the current situation. I'm currently running a work imagine in Parallels on my Mac...

Ping somewhere closer? ;) Are you referring to your ping on Speedtest.net or in general? Trying other sites like fast.com could bring different (better) results, or running this command to see if your ping is varying much? ping 1.1.1.1 If it's poor across all devices (And some are wired) then...

Yeah definitely varies by location, we're on VM M500 with a 7ms ping to 1.1.1.1, meanwhile this is the best BT can offer us :p

I called them last Thursday at about 3:30pm and got through within 10 mins to their cancellation team, it's usually a pretty quick way to speak to someone and they will transfer you if needed.

I think the barrel has officially been scraped

I spotted the PC build sim earlier and all looked a bit meta, better of practicing on the thing you'd be playing it on. Friend of mine claims he's spending a lot of time on bus driver simulator which sounds about as riveting as it gets

Just purchased my first gaming computer from Overclockers - advice requested :)

Do the build team 'review' your configuration just to be sure it's going to work adequately or will they blindly build anything you spec?

    Virgin Media Discussion Thread

Was this just temporary or consistent for longer than an hour or so? My USG polls internet speed every few hours and looking back over the past week you can see times where the Virgin speed properly drops off for a few hours, but then is back to full later.

    Noblechairs - Hero or Epic?

I've had the Epic for about 6 weeks now and it seems class. I'm 6'3" and its dead comfy even when you're sat in it for 10hrs a day. Considering getting more of the cushions for the rest of my flat they're so comfy.
