I got myself one of these 16" last month and honestly the keyboard alone makes it worth it over my 2018 13" with butterfly. The larger screen is amazing and the extra RAM and graphics make it a doddle to edit 4k video.
and the battery is still class given the massive screen running at 70%+...
I've used AWS for some time at both work and home and have used it for doing some hybrid infrastructure things.
Definitely worth considering on-prem as you have far more control and flexibility with your own server and long-term costing savings are real.
That said, AWS is super easy to spin up...
SuperHub 3 doesn't support QoS, you'd need some third-party gear to enable these features.
Still supposed to be coming in 2020, although wouldn't be surprised if they blame covid and defer to next year

Probably comes down to the size and culture of your company, if you're in a smaller company like mine and you have an IT/Security steer you may be able to convince them given the current situation.

Are you referring to your ping on Speedtest.net or in general?
Trying other sites like fast.com could bring different (better) results, or running this command to see if your ping is varying much?

My USG polls internet speed every few hours and looking back over the past week you can see times where the Virgin speed properly drops off for a few hours, but then is back to full later.
I've had the Epic for about 6 weeks now and it seems class.
I'm 6'3" and its dead comfy even when you're sat in it for 10hrs a day.
Considering getting more of the cushions for the rest of my flat they're so comfy.
