I'm sold by that deliding tool , makes it looks so easy where as with the EK one was a pita :o the block does look good just his delta are a bit over the place but this could be due to a bad mount . I may have a look at the RGB version when it gets released but sticking with the Iceman for now...
you can't directly compare SP between the different SKU ie a SP100 K & KS will be different same for 13th or 14th gen etc but the vid tables do give us a sort of guide to compare and yep your requirement for 5.6 is a touch lower than mine and looks like a very good sample you have for a KF...
The SP99 was the 1st one i tried and was not happy in the slightest , tried the second which was SP108 above and was very very happy and what i would expect from a KS :D .... the variances are wild that i have seen and some of them are clearly being mislabeled as KS when they should be...
My 2nd KS below and the one i am keeping , the first one i tried was SP99 global and my heart sank when seeing it ( getting returned as should be a K:rolleyes: ) Will delid this next week if i get the time then will see what i can squeeze out of it ...
I've got an average 13900k SP100 (P109) so as long as i don't lose the silicone then should be a nice uplift :D
Yeah now on the Iceman and tbh one of the best moves i done for cooling after trying so hard with the EK DD kit and becoming more and more disappointed after every attempt to fix it...
Yeah planning to grab one as well as so far held off from the 13900KS , 14900k but do want something new to play with .... Cooling wont be an issue as will be getting delidded much like the 13900k is
Seems Seasonic want you to heat up the 12VHPWR & 12v-2x6 with a hairdryer to bend the cable and try avoid it melting , not a band aid fix at all

It wouldn't even need 4 x 8pin as currently I am pulling 600w+ over a 2 x 8 pin to 12vhpwr which tells you the 2 x 8 pin are more than happy to deal with 600w but from a safety perspective just put 3 of them back on the gpu side as worked perfectly fine last generation and personally would...
Ah i have had many cables over the year ... on 1st name terms with Cablemod customer support  Had 3 of their normal cables go bad due to the stupid sense wires so black screening etc and even RMA my 1st FE GPU because of it only to receive a replacement which of course did it again:cry: (...
Yeah and that's all you can do really is check it every so often and make sure it is fully seated and not at any funny angles but even then it still has the potential to melt , as i put above the reason we don't see as many corsair cables melted is probably due to the cablemod version outselling...
That's nice although doesn't make or mean it's immune from happening... it has happened before and very much can / will happen again . The reason we have not seen as many corsair cables melted is simply due to the % sold vs cablemod which will work on every card and psu where as the corsair ones...
Corsair one has melted aswell, owner is on overclockers.net but said didn't damage the connection just melted the actual plug .. smelt burning etc ... none of them I repeat none of them are safe as the issue is the plug itself rather than what cable gets plugged in . It should have never been...
Yeah this is a brand new recall for the angled adapters only not the all in one cable they also do , was posted overnight so can only imagine they have had another load of v1.1 adapters starting to melt and had enough now so pulling them all from sale .... in their defence I still believe the...
For anyone still using an angled adapter you are advised to stop using it immediately, this includes both v1 and v1.1
