No they're left in a difficult situation because they're the only place around still taking orders and not giving existing customers a reasonable timeframe to expect the product they have paid for.
Yeah I noticed another company has already shipped EVGA cards on two separate dates. Haven't even seen a mention of them here. They've also shipped PNY, another I haven't seen anything about here. They're also giving current outstanding pre-order numbers. Amazing the way one place can be so...
They don't care. They've probably already way oversold this card beyond their expectations. They know that people can't get one anywhere else, so you either cancel or keep your order.
Yet anytime people here complain about the lack of updates, there's always someone to tell them to check the updates thread, which doesn't give a clear picture. Ventus and Palit in last week, not mentioned. Vision in today, again nothing. It was this half baked approach to giving us updates that...
This. And yet youtube "personalities" can still get their hands on them. What's the point in advertising a product you have no stock of? I understand it's good PR, but it's a slap in the face of every customer waiting in a queue with no ETA on a product they have paid up front for.
Just came in now after I queried it with Paypal. Ended up losing about €30 on the exchange rate from the time I bought it to the time I got the refund. Damn Boris Johnson and Brexit. :)
Back to browsing Irish sites to see if any will ever sell the 3080.
Just an FYI for anyone thinking about cancelling. I cancelled last Tuesday. Paid via Paypal, and as of right now I still haven't received the refund yet. It's just sitting as pending with Paypal. Not sure what the hold up is but it's been 8 days now.
Look at the table. Clearly shows Nvidia reference with one set of MLCC's. This is the reference. The FE went and used two stacks of MLCC's. By using all Sp-Caps you're not using the reference design. The card that seemed to be most affected by it was the Zotac and that uses all Sp-Caps...
None of us work for OCUK here. No-one from OCUK is giving any definitive info on stock deliveries. Gibbo in the other thread is giving bare minimum updates. Reality is, if you've ordered and are way down the queue, then either cancel your order (if you need the money) or just forget about it for...
No one knows anything about any stock..., would have thought after 140 pages of this thread, and 500+ of the previous thread, this would be pretty obvious.
