Same here with CGNAT install. Truly awful performance until I set IPV6 to passthrough. Then instant. Sucks that this is not the default setting.

Replace the stock thermal pads as per other threads on here is the best thing you can do for thermal management on Gigabyte cards.

Intel Core i9-11900KFs finally shipping from OC

Sometimes, but not generally by anything from AMD in this case. Also that was prerelease or at least early microcode so some further improvements are likely. Anyway I can cope with sometimes loosing 0.5 fps to get twice the storage performance.

Yes, enabling ABT, turning off all core limits and disabling PCI power saving gives: Single Core 1688 Multicore 16144

Doesn't seem to allow image uploads. Do I have to reach a certain number of posts or something? Also that's without adaptive boost and not maxed out at this point. Will update above figures later once I have run full optimisation.

Single threaded 1590 Multi threaded 14877 (Don't care too much about this for GPU limited fps) (Rog AI Optimisation turned on)

Intel Core i9-11900KFs finally shipping from OC

Which it is GPU limited for pretty much any modern game at 2K+ resolution when you want max fps. The 11900K is commonly the best gaming fps option right now bar 240+fps @ 1080p esports type stuff.

Yes agree with all that. I swapped the motherboard first to the Hero XIII and for whatever reason with my previous 10900KN even with the latest BIOS it was not stable and kept refusing to boot to the correct graphics card and kept hanging / bluescreening which worried me somewhat. However as...

Intel Core i9-11900KFs finally shipping from OC

Price is +VAT. I am upgrading from the 10900KF. For PCI-E 4 support and the fastest 2K+ resolution fps money can buy. Yes its not great value for money, but it is the best you can buy for that use right now. As far as I know these are the first batch of KFs to reach the UK. Only the more...

Intel Core i9-11900KFs finally shipping from OC

Yep, looking forward to somewhat faster disk speeds amongst other benefits. Just swapped my motherboard to the Asus Rog Maximus Hero XIII and updated the BIOS ready to insert new CPU tomorrow. And it all worked and booted first time which is a relief!

Just buy an Rog Strix or a Gigabyte Xtreme and have no need for water cooling. The benefits vs cost and space are quantum.

Or just use multiple layers. It's like heavy duty bluetack and congeals into one mass.

Well if the ultimate is available in 1mm then 2 x 1mm. I didn't see that when i looked. It congeals so it doesn't matter how many layers. Anyway you need 2mm depth for memory pads on the 2 cards I have done and I believe that's typical. And yes but they are not as good I believe but are cheaper.

4 layers of Gelid Solutions GP Ultimate 0.5mm (so 2mm total) is the best solution I have found to date for memory pads (on Rog Strix OC and Gigabyte Xtreme at least). This is mentioned above.

Yes this has been fixed. Microsoft used the new "Rollback" capability in Windows 10 to remotely fix it.

The Ampere RTX 3080 Owners Thread

There was a bug in a recent Windows update that made FPS with DLSS very variable. It has been rolled back remotely by Microsoft so should no longer be an issue.

If you say so. You wouldn't know it when handling 0.5mm sheets of it. It's not a problem.
