No they don’t. They have 16GB of shared memory, which means they also have RAM to come out of that. On the X at least only 10GB is fast enough to be assigned as VRAM.
Just 4 Tuff Non-OCs cant be too much to ask surely!
Not sure on what it was carrying but it was saved by the SBS not the SAS, almost as if its better to send the correct special forces for a job.
16:9 2160p = 8.3 megapixels
21:9 1440p = 4.8 MP
16:9 1440p = 3.69 MP
halfway between 1440p and 2160p both at 16:9 is about 6 MP.
2K, 4K etc are cinema derived resolutions and are more ways of grouping things into roughly the same no of pixels wide. 32:9 1440p screens would be 5k but less...
pretty much any recentish discrete GPU will give a hearty boost in photoshop, but beyond that its likely the CPU that will be the limit.
Video editing wise it very much depends on what. HD with limited GPU accelerated effects, probably fine, say the words UHD or start layering effects/footage...
I mean at least one other site with a big table has it as TBC and a post above the table from yesterday saying they are working to confirm the TBCs for this week.
Its certainly possible to push RDR2 to refuse to apply settings because of insufficient VRAM, on my 32:9 1440p screen (as resolution affects things) i managed to get it to demand 35ish GB if i cranked every setting (clearly this isn't a sensible thing to do).
That it's possible to push settings...
Not saying it isn't enough, but if the consoles are able to use 10GB shouldn't a 3080 have at least a chance of being able to? Sure the 2080ti can use DLSS to makeup for not having the grunt to run a certain resolution, but that can also be used to allow it to turn on other VRAM heavy techniques...
I mean they can but it doesn't mean they couldn't benefit from more if its available. The console argument is more Consoles tend to get by with less than PCs so if the consoles have this much to get better results the PC might need more.
PCs can manage 4k with less than 10GB, doesn't mean they...
