Hang in there guys, worth the wait / effort. Rigged the 3080 GB Gaming OC yesterday for a test before wrapping up as Xmas present. It is a beast! Smashed the Unigine benchmark with a i9 10850k.

Your right. I don’t suppose you have to use the rgb on the motherboard, it’s only very nuanced anyhow. And perhaps Corsair will eventually open up iCue.

Gigabyte Gaming OC. Very nice card. Was in for a MSI Trio, but gonna cancel as soon as I can get round to it. I’m actually glad. Pretty much the same card, but the backplate on the gigabyte is metal compared to apparently flimsy plastic ‘graphene’ on the MSI.
