Thanks, yes the airbricks are just under the DPC but the problem is they are at the driveway level as it's been built up at some point. So digging out a small channel with a drain seems like the way to go, to at least add some more height from surface level. Does the fact they have cavity...

Thanks, yes it's an Elegant one and from watching the youtube vids I'm fairly sure as you say, it shouldn't be sealed along the bottom edge there as that blocks escape water. If just the outside is sealed it should drain out nicely there. All seems a bit of a bodge job!

It is a screw cap yes, if you look inside there is just a void inside the metal frame, I think it's designed such that it's fine for water to get in and it's meant to just drain out at the bottom safely on the inside. I guess maybe I should bite the bullet at remove the whole frame and correctly...

I've just had a similar one fitted for hot and cold - made a massive difference :) They are noisy though and pipes carry the vibration around the house, but decent shower pressure is worth it!

Thanks will go with one of those :) I did read that when using an SDS for cable drilling it's easy to get huge chunks of brick taken out on the exit hole. Any tips for avoiding that, or is it just a case of going slowly at it will be fine?
