The joy of being a landlord

I think the mindset is that if its "yours" you will be more careful with it, if its someone else who you are paying to use it, then its their issue. As a long term renter this is not my mindset and i often remedy issues that should be sorted by the landlord, but if we have in anyway caused it...

    Sleep Apnea & Driving license

Its a fairly straight forward risk question. If you dont report it and end up in an accident and its determined you failed to report it you will be in a massive world of trouble. If you do report it, you will likely have your license revoked within 4-6 weeks and then you have to wait until you...

The joy of being a landlord

While I would tend to agree - the problem we have had is successive governments have artificially kept prices high with numerous schemes intended to let people buy at higher prices instead of letting prices fall to a more "normal" level.

The joy of being a landlord

Housing and affordability are massive multi-dimensional problems that wont be fixed any time soon. Our society is consumerist driven with an insatiable need to buy new things - social media and general attitudes have driven a very self centred approach to life. If house prices go through a...

Will get a call in - some white tops but the rest are the newer style - they were maybe 3-6 months old before going into storage but they were in there for almost 2 years. Also found about 20 vallejo paints as well which can be added to the collection.

So things like sand on the tires tinted brown to represent mud could work, would need to be light to match the base you have. Small amount of something like Agrax Earthshade (or similar) can create streaks around the bolt heads or around the cracks. You could also use nuln oil to create some...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Think youve done an excellent job with the painting - couple of mis strokes but you only see them when zoomed in so I wouldnt worry about them. The only comment I had is that the paint looks too "clean" for Orks - think the model would pop more with some weathering (rust streaks, dirt in the...

    Tabletop Warhammer?

Ive watched a few of the fanatic paint reviews and they do look incredible. Going to wait to see some "normal" users use them to see if they are worth the plunge. Spent c£100 already on GW paints in the last couple of months so most of them are still almost full. Like others, Im still trying to...

Wil get a photo uploaded shortly - but getting really frustrated with edge highlighting. Im starting to think that taking photos is a bad idea - I cant help but zoom in massively and spot tiny imperfections. Does anyone else suffer with this stupidly obsessive need to make it perfect?

So I've been on the look out for a couple of decent brushes for fine detail but wasnt quite ready to jump up to the Raphael / DaVinci / Newton / Artis Opus quite yet and I think Ive found a good mid point brush after a wander around in Glasgow. There is a great little shop called Draw (...

And I've decided to abandon fine lining for now - just dont have a steady enough hand to get the right consistent pressure and I end up with half a beautiful line and then a splodge. Might have to go back to dry brushing for edge highlighting for now until the fine motor control improves.
