It was really simple actually, barring blond/grey hair moments! Follow the instructions from your motherboard manufacturer, a YouTube video if in doubt and can't go wrong.

I did something similar as well, bought the board and RAM in January. Computer went completely FUBAR a few weeks ago so now pretty excited.

Savings and shifting hardware helps. When you sell existing hardware and then cancel a pre-order, it just about evens out. Although I would rather use the 5700XT money and get myself an upgraded processor.

And what decision was that? I have a 5700XT that I'm going to sell as soon as I get my 3080 ASUS Strix but I won't be playing Cyberpunk until I get my new card. Don't mind the waiting if I had a rough ETA though. It's the unknown that doesn't help.

@ASUS GPU Support Gibbo and ScottiB have been excellent in turning communications around, both in this forum thread and their sticky as well. I have contacted the company you represent directly and I got no information as to why there is a delay on the STRIX models or what's going on. No one can...

I'm the same as yourself. It was a bitter pill to swallow. I have Cyberpunk downloaded and everything but I lose nothing but wait.

Stock now gone. I was hesitant though as the price wasn't far off from a 3090 FE edition. At over a hundred more than what I paid here, I really had to think if it was truly worth it.
