Age plays a factor in being able to hear frequencies like that. The older you are, the less likely you are to hear it - you can get apps on your phone to try it out, too. Glad you found the cause, that must have been very frustrating!

It was a pretty generic name. Corsair RGB to Standard ARGB or something like that. It'll allow you to adjust the rgb via iCue, yes. So you'll have your fan with two cables. The power cable will go to the Commander Pro. The RGB cable will go to the adapter, then into the rgb hub

OK, so thats a non-corsair rgb connector, they'd typically connect to the rgb header on the motherboard. As you've noticed, they'll not connect to a Corsair rgb hub. However, you can buy adapter cable that will allow you to connect it to a Corsair rgb hub. If I remember correctly, I got mine...

Try plugging the fan in the same header as the confirmed working fan. That'll help you work out if the problem is with the fan itself, or something else

Iirc, it was to do with the pump top. But in honesty, that goes a bit further than my understanding. I do use a Corsair pump myself but after reading I always wondered if I made the right choice

What kind of temperatures are you seeing? It could be that after unplugging and plugging your power back in that your system has had time to cool down allowing it to boot again

I've read that the EK D5 pumps perform better than the Corsair ones, despite them looking near enough identical on paper. I can't confirm if this is true, though!

Lots of people fail the compatibility check due to no TPM. You can buy TPM chips if you have a header for it in your motherboard, but the scalpers are trying their hand. Some CPUs allow a soft way of providing TPM functionality but I'm not sure just how compatible that is. Laptops from 2018...

I've used a LinkUp PCIE 4 riser cable with an RTX 3070 and it worked fine in PCIE 4 mode

Do you have a picture of this other board? I'm not familiar with Trident X systems, but some risers have sockets on them for power etc. It's possible that the riser is defective or isn't drawing the right power for some reason.

I guess my thought process is that if these mining operations are getting cards "by the pallet load", then selling them for big profits and buying crypto with those profits, yet keeping some cards, then getting the next pallet load and repeating would just make more sense. As for a money...

It doesn't make sense to me. If they had cards by the pallet, why, from a profit point of view, wouldn't they scalp them for a considerable profit, then repeat, keeping a few cards from each purchase for their mining operation? If you had access to that many cards it would be far more efficient...

If they could get cards direct from the manufacturer then they'd sell them for instant, big profit. Miners are about money, and selling the cards would yield much larger gains than simply mining.
