yeah pretty sure the bigger cooler helps there, plus maybe the 90 dies are better bins (efficiency wise). the 3070 is also more efficient than 80.

The load can get spread out over cores if you have more cores than it needs, so you don't necessarily have one or more pegged at 100%. Games typically use a lot of threads, and they can end up on any core. Also from a programming POV (I do this code all the time), if the CPU is waiting for...

I haven't done core OC, but mem seems fine +1250 in afterburner on mine (apart from temp throttling when ambient is warmer).

btw, it's possible the other SKU's will drop tomorrow, and/or more of today's. no guarantees, but it's happened before, and a late-in-the-day drop may mean they haven't processed everything. keep an eye out tomorrow.

they're on Auto in Afterburner, HWinfo is reporting them as ~2480 and ~2165 RPM right now. but even cranking them manually doesn't do much to the mem throttling.
