    Auxillis experience?

Auxillis were great for us recently. Hassle-free and the courtesy car was a step up from ours.

Both are fantastic and very different. I love the Guatemala as an americano. Indonesia is a lot darker and is great as a pour-over or americano. Brilliant choices, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Monsoon Malabar? Notorious for being dry and static. Hoffman encourages adding a tiny drop/spray of water to the beans pre-grind. I do it myself and find it brings static down a lot. There's a risk of damage/rust to the burrs if using too much water though.

Has anyone made their own car ramps from wood?

Depends on grade of metal and the type of wood you're thinking of. Low grade aluminium vs a hardwood and maybe you're right. A decent grade of carbon steel vs a softwood and you'd be surprised at how thin a well-designed frame can be (or how thick "solid" wood can fail)

You didn't get a receipt? Have you contacted the garage from which you purchased the vehicle?

If you think weighing is a faff and you're on the verge of buying a bottomless portafilter, you're in for a surprise. Wait until you're cleaning up channelled espresso that has fired in every direction. The spouted portafilter conceals a lot of our mistakes and inconsistencies. The bottomless...

I've got the same type as @gettothechopper in post #9948 and the Niche dosing cup works well with it. Still, it won't take much to convince me to upgrade the machine :p

Niche Zero arrived today. About 800g of cheap beans has gone through to season it. Looking forward to trying it out on some Wogan Monsoon Malabar AA beans that my Sage BE grinder couldn't grind fine enough. The dosing cup is sized for the 58mm standard portafilter as opposed to Sage's 54mm...

Siliconslave's how to make espresso thread

While the video didn't put me off flat burr grinders, it helped me settle for the conical of the Niche Zero. Until I saw the video I was almost determined to purchase a flat burr grinder.

Niche Zero inbound! Was tempted by the Duo but Hoffman's latest YouTube video made it seem not worth the price difference. I did fancy a flat burr grinder but nothing seems to come close to the Niche Zero in terms of cost and user reviews.

    UK to Florida & NY

Thanks @weringo yes I meant HPN  - I have updated the OP. So is option 2 the least hassle? The cost difference between the two options is negligible, if that helps.

    UK to Florida & NY

Hi all, Hopefully some with experience can help us out here. We are planning a trip to USA later in the year. It involves visiting Florida and NY within the same two weeks. Our options are: 1. Return flight MAN-MCO over 14 nights. Within that time a return flight MCO-HPN for a few days. 2...

The Niche Zero is a bit ugly but must be a quality grinder as it seems to get consistently good reviews. What else compares to it? Timemore Sculptor 064s?

Yesterday we used up the last of our Brazil Fazenda Campestre Nº 109 from Rave. Our Wogan order arrived just in time. We can't let them rest unfortunately but looking forward to seeing if they're any good.

    Your bad driving encounters

Just had a minor bump. Was on the inside lane of the roundabout almost at the 4th exit when someone joined from the 2nd and hit the rear nearside door, wheel arch and bumper. No injuries, just damaged trim, big scrapes/dents and the chew on of going through insurance. Claim submitted, let's see...
