Exactly lol.
Ended up upgrading to the 3080 Ti Palit card, regardless of the MSI SUPRIM X the Palit is indeed a good price for the current market rate and I can't fault OCUK for that. Especially when you consider it's even cheaper than most 3080s on retail right now. It's just a shame other...
Just received my email about upgrading to a 3070 Ti / 3080 Ti
And I must say I'm confused to say the least.
"The above are considerably discounted over the regular online website price."
MSI 3080Ti Suprim X (GX-37G-MS) at £1589.99, Personally I wouldn't call £100 discount remotely...
The 3080 Ventus when I ordered it was £650, a lot of cards were actually MSRP at launch with the higher end AIB cards being something like £749. The funny thing is that the main reason why I chose the Ventus over other cards like the TUF model was due to lack of RGB. Perhaps if I wasn't so picky...
I noticed an impressive range of 3080s for sale on a competitor website for around ~ £1,200 ea today. Stock wasn't being eaten up that fast either.
I think this is quite significant when you consider the eBay scalp price for a 3080 is currently around £1,150 - £1,300. This will definitely force...
@Gibbo What's the current plan on priority for upgrades? Will you be asking the earliest back order across all cards or will it be one brand at a time?
Noticed a 3080 Zotac on resell for £1,200 today which is the lowest price I've seen for a while.
Seems like the situation is improving, which is good news indeed.
Another reminder for those who are tempted, to not buy scalped cards at this time to encourage further price drops overall...
I can only imagine 3080 prices tumbling even lower after today given that a new wave of FE cards will be hitting the market.
I would be tempted to try my luck at snagging one myself but I know my bank will only f* me as usual lol.
Yep, and hopefully OCUK give us a potential "upgrade" path towards it. We'll have to see though, I have a feeling the LHR versions won't be around for a good while yet.
Me too, it's great to see prices coming down and panic setting in within the reseller market. Interestingly enough the resell value on the RTX 3080 Ti is getting quite close to the 3080 which is funny.
Whilst we'll most likely never see MSRP prices for as long as the 3000 series is relevant...
Seems likely at this point, the main reason why I'm sticking around at the moment is for the prospect of a potential upgrade to a 3080 Ti. I really do hope that OCUK go ahead with this plan as it would be nice to walk away from this long queue with at least something to show for it.
