Help me spec a new build please

The 7900 XTX proposes pretty good value at its MSRP when looking at normal raster performance but compared to the software stack from Nvidia currently imo it's worth the £150 difference between the cheapest brand new 7900 XTX and that 4080 on OcUK. By software stack I mean better RT performance...

Reduce my expensive build. Advice plz

Again another way to waste money. NZXT knows their market. People see their AIOs on poorly budgeted youtube and tiktok builds and think its good. Theyre not worth their price at all. They are rebranding Asetek pumps, and not even the latest gen, and putting their name and RGB on them to exploit...

Reduce my expensive build. Advice plz

there are many good brands besides Seasonic. One thing you should get rid of from your mentality is brand loyalty. thats how you waste money on overpriced components that bank on people who only know "seasonic means good" because linus says so. something like the MSI A1000G is excellent, ATX 3.0...

    Faulty RAM?

have you checked if theres any bent pins in the CPU socket, or any thermal paste or dust on the pins or contact pads? same goes for the ram contacts and slots

    Asus

I can appreciate that they sometimes make some excellent hardware, look specifically at some of their higher end Strix boards (Z690, Z790, X670) and more recently even their TUF line up has been pretty good. For this generations of GPUs I think the Strix 40 series is by far the best looking. But...

Reduce my expensive build. Advice plz

+ £250? what PSUs are you looking at? theres plenty of good 850W and 1000W units below £200 that would be more than enough for a 4090

    Micron Rev.B overclocking help

I recently picked up a kit of Crucial Ballistix 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 (BL2K16G32C16U4W) memory because it was on sale for only £83 during Black Friday. I was hoping to get dual rank Rev.E but apparently crucial have moved away from that so instead I got single rank Rev.B. I couldn't...

    new build for 3080

For PSU I recommend Bitfenix Whisper M 850w. One of the highest quality out there for the price. Define r7 is huge, it'll be plenty space for the GPU. For ram I'd recommend getting a 3600MHz CL16 or CL18 kit

    Graphics Card!

Get whichever GPU u can for now. No one knows when the 3080 will be back in stock, or if it ever will come back.

    Saying hi!

Is this a PC you are going to build or do u have most of the parts already? Because I have some notes. Why r u adding so many SSD's and RGB fans? Also why are u buying a very expensive and unnecessary AIO for a Ryzen 3600x? Upgrade the core components first like upgrading that GTX 1080 to...

    B550 Motherboard for overclocking a 3600?

You won't get a lot of gains from overclocking a 3600 but if you really want to try then I'd recommend either the B550 Aorus Pro from Gigabyte, or Tomahawk from MSI

    Will my 3600x bottleneck?

At 1440p? There will be a small bottleneck. Not big enough to warrant going out and spending over £300 on a Ryzen 5000 cpu

10900k vs 5950x overclocked for gaming

10900k was probably sucking over 300w and it still couldn't beat the 5950x in most cases
