    Iphone keypad problem during calls.

exactly, if the sensor is malfunctioning, it would falsely lock part of the screen because it falsely believes it is held to your face.

    Moving into Management

Here are my takes (being in the senior / tech lead for 10 years now in management in a major firm), I have known at least 3 managers who transitioned back to Engineering / Scientist from management. - You have more direct control as a engineer than manager, you are responsible for your own...

Coding courses to start a career

As a hiring manager for a major tech firm, and started my career in a startup, here are my 2 cents. - Your degrees as long as it is numerical doesn't really matter too much, comp sci is an advantage but not a big one if you can demonstrate coding skills. - Most coding courses are a waste of...

    RGB Splitter Cable for iCue

RGB Hub should be powered by SATA power connector, not fan connector. But yes, you should be plugging RGB Hubs in to Commander

    Bad performance for my build

Score looks fine for a stock 3090. I would check monitors or configs in games

    RGB Splitter Cable for iCue

I don't quite understand, Commander core supports 6 RGB hub, each RGB hub supports 6 RGB devices. You effectively have 36 RGB sockets for fans and stuff? There are splitters you can buy on ebay for corsair rgb splitters but they risk burning out the RGB hub due to over current.

My pc just leaked in front of me. I caught it about 5 seconds after.

PETG has lower temperature tolerance than soft tubes. PETG can usually go up to around 60C, soft tubes around 80C. Acrylic is the best at around 150C When hard tube fails, the water usually goes everywhere as the fitting is compression only, where as soft tube usually balloon up before...

    Iphone keypad problem during calls.

Never had this problem, sounds like your proximity sensor might be failing. This is the sensor that blocks areas of screen from touch when your face is up against it during a call. I think it can be replaced seperately, without risking the face id.

12600k upgrade - All games crashing 5-40 mins in.

    1. couple of FPS(1-3%), you won't notice it but it will show up clearly in benchmark 2. Usually the motherboard, since RAM usually passed XMP profile during QA, against a motherboard, but I would say a bit of both. 3. You can try tweaking the custom profile of the Memory, reach the limit then...

    Bad performance for my build

Have you tried plugging the GPU directly in to the motherboard without riser cable? LINKUP is a pretty good brand but PCI-E can be very picky. Try remove one of the monitor as well. Also can you run 3D mark etc and post the score? fps count can always be a little subjective when it comes to...

Is 450W enough for my build?

I am going to deviate from the crowed here, your PSU is rated within typical draw of your CPU and graphics card, with enough head room to cover spikes. Graphics 200W + CPU 110 + 50W mobo etc = 360W The life expectancy of the PSU will be lower as it will likely run hotter, but as with all...

short circuit advice on asrock Z77E-ITX board

While it is true PS2 and USB uses 5V, the SPI chipsets that handles wake from keyboard / mouse / ethernet is 3v; This is the same circuit that is powered by the coin cell battery when the motherboard is off to maintain bios, either way the power consumption should be negligible, I cannot comment...

Do not use EKWB 90 degrees fittings!

Have you checked whether they become loose over time? the EKWB ones were pretty tight when I fight bought them but I guess the heat cycles loosens the joints causing leak.

short circuit advice on asrock Z77E-ITX board

Oh, my mistake, you mean the regulator overheats without even the power button pressed on motherboard? In that case the issue would be downstream, 3vSB is mostly used to power keyboard / mouse / ethernet to facilitate wake from sleep, if you have nothing plugged in it should be consuming close...

    Newbie question

Flow direction matter for blocks with jet plates. Wrong direction will cause dead zones in the plate and can mean up to 3-5c temp difference to the component you are cooling. order of component doesn’t matter, even with low flow loop, coolant doesn’t have enough time to heat up to create a big...

short circuit advice on asrock Z77E-ITX board

the spec op shown is a 2v drop, so I doubt it is too much unless the regulator lost the solder sink to the board. If the heat is off the scale it is likely trying to drop from a higher pd. so the likely reason for overheating would be either there is a short between 12v and it is trying to drop...

short circuit advice on asrock Z77E-ITX board

Before I start, I would say ITX motherboard is usually too densely packed with components and likely 6 layer pcb, unless it is obvious it is usually not worth the trouble. here is how I would diagnose, first I would use thermal scope to look for hot spots, or use the ethanol evaporate method...

Windows 11, and I am on 5950x supposely the worse CPU to be on 11. It feels much more cleaner, and much less Ads in your face (Still preinstalled junkware though). It also has better support for Ultrawide monitors and HDR, none of that low res login screen and loading screen out of the box...
