    Nexus 5 2015 refresh

    Seems like these are dropping little by little atm. It's currently £260 at the rainforest with prime delivery. Really tempted to upgrade from my HTC M7 and £260 is a lot more tempting then spending £510 on the new HTC 10. Doesn't seem like it's worth the extra £250! HTC are rumoured to be...

    **** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

    Rang up Three to get a price on the S7 edge. They ended up quoting me their website prices and then saying carphone warehouse only offer low deals as they increase the price suddenly when the network pays them their commission! The guy pointed me to point 1.2 on this page...

    What Anker portable battery pack?

    I got my bro the PowerCore+ 13400. Which apparently is the newer version of the PowerCore series that charges the actual power bank faster. 5 hrs vs 9 hrs according to the Anker promotional slides. It's can be a bit confusing which ones are the latest models though.

    Getting that first job as a software developer.

    Another option is to look for an apprenticeship program at a software company. There are few that do that in London. You'll get a smaller salary for 6-9 months but you'll learn about writing maintainable, flexible code, unit tests and general good software practices. Thoughtbot, Codeurance, 8th...

    not sure if it's a misprice but you can get the S6 32GB from mobiles.co.uk for the following: unlimited calls and texts, 3GB data on O2 £31 a month + £79.99 upfront = £823.99 over 24 months There is a 5GB tariff which costs £34 a month + £99.99 = £915.99 It's a bit strange as there are...

    It's doing a bitwise AND operation. In the last case the number is 8, so the forth bit is set but your second variable has the first bit shifted right 4 places into the fifth bit. This leads to the bits being "on" in different places and so none are set when you do the bitwise AND.

    I think it fails that scope as you are converting the string to a char array. There are a few answers on stack overflow discussing this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19484406/detecting-if-a-string-has-unique-characters-comparing-my-solution-to-cracking

    Could rewrite that as the following as the setting current seems redundant to me: public boolean hasAllUniqueCharacters(String s) { char[] chars = s.toCharArray(); Arrays.sort(chars); for(int i=0; i < chars.length - 1; i++) { if (chars[i] == chars[i...

    Get some unit tests in place before you do the refactoring. Then you could just go through each of the SOLID principles and explain why you're refactoring the bits of code.
