The duct is made from a piece of plastic sheet, stepping down from 140 to 120mm
Changing the fan to the Arctic P14 with higher static pressure shaved off 2°C on the Cinebench R23 test.
10600k @ 80°C during CinebR23 (22°C ambient) with the Alpenfön BR and a 140mm Noctua fan. Not great, but the cooler has a somewhat limited cooling potensial.
The GPU (ASUS rog strix 2080ti) tops out at 61°C during stress testing with Time Spy.
My build:
CPU: 10600k cooled with the Alpenfön black ridge using a 140mm fan and a homemade duct to step down to 120mm size of the cooler. The CPU/MOBO gets cool air directly from the outside (side of the case).
GPU: 2080ti ROG strix, resting on yet another home made "air duct" (roughly 20mm)...
