I figure it must be something like that!

Odd POST problem after graphics card upgrade

Aha, yes that sounds like the same thing! I'll put it down to a hardware compatibility then unless anyone else has any other ideas. I'll rma the card if other symptoms develop. Thanks for the help andicole0 :)

New GPU fitted - BIOS screen screwed - but Windows is okay; should I be concerned?

Just the latest version. I used q-flash fine and it was very easy although it didn't fix the problem (see my above post).

New GPU fitted - BIOS screen screwed - but Windows is okay; should I be concerned?

I've been having the exact same problem (see my thread in General Hardware: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18748611). Your picture looks like pretty much what I see. Before posting on here I had almost just put it down to some sort of compatibility issue that I had to live...

Odd POST problem after graphics card upgrade

I just upgraded my graphics card from an Nvidia 560ti to a AMD Sapphire 4GB 480 and managed to get it to boot to Windows 10 no problem. However during POST corrupted graphics are displayed on screen. I initially suspected a graphics card fault, but it seems to work fine otherwise so this would...

    Final Fantasy VII - "Remake"

I've wanted to play this for a long time, but from that point when I realised it was for me, it seemed to have aged quite badly. I look forward to finally getting to experience this. :)

Shenmue 3 - can you drive a forklift truck?

Part of me thinks it would be better left unfinished, but to have closure will be great. I'll be able to finally move on with my life. :p

Shenmue 3 - can you drive a forklift truck?

Genuine  when I read about this this morning! I don't think this game will ever beat Shenmue 2 for me no matter how good it is, but I'm still mega excited!!!!!

    *** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I just got an email from GAME to say my PS4 is confirmed for launch day. :D I'm so excited I'm going to queue up like a loser and get it at midnight from my local store to experience the hype with some other randoms.

    Default onmouseover for mobile devices

Personally I would try to stay away from designs that rely on hover states as it causes problems with touch device as you have mentioned. You can check for touch support in JavaScript but there are devices out there which fall in to both the category of touch device and what some people may call...

Can you get a toaster with slots longer than 5 inches??

Try jamming the bread in with a fork with a regular toaster? Best do it while it's on so the bread is warm and will squish a lot better.

Better not tell everyone about 27th March else too many people will go on that day then.

    CSS Best Practice

To sum it all up in a few words is quite difficult, but one important thing to be careful of is when you are overriding styles. Doing so is fine but be aware that at some point you may have to override your override and then also override that and so on. So think carefully when you do to avoid...

    How useful is git?

Version control is also a great way to store config files you use for various systems (bash/zsh, vim, git, tmux or whatever else you have to configure). You know you will never lose them and it's super easy to get set up on a machine you might not have used before. Also if you make a config...

Designers/developers - Please fill in my mate's questionnaire

Answered. I'm a full time web developer. I do mostly front end work, but I do a bit of everything really (still a fair bit of php). I couldn't live without SASS now for my css (work and otherwise). It simply remakes reuse and maintenance that much easier. That said, like any code, there are bad...

    How useful is git?

Git or any version control is great (git is by far the best though ;)) for any project even if it's just something you are working on yourself. I can't tell you the amount of times I've committed some code and come back to it a couple of months later and not been sure why it was that I did that...

    Drop down menus

If you are set on the drop down menu and are stuck with some css, post the markup you have at the moment for the menu and we can suggest a solution. It's difficult to give a solution otherwise. I'm not sure what spry is, but I can't imaging the markup would be too different from a bunch of...
