My wife used to run embroidery machines, she said they used Wilcom she did say it is expensive though.
When the company was taken over the new owners switched to outsourcing new designs as it was cheaper.
Thanks for the reply's.
Some very useful links provided thanks for those.
looking at the citizens advice info it says if paid in lieu of notice your job ends straight away but he told her her job would end on the 30th June and she would be paid in lieu of notice so i presume this means she...
A small update.
When she got her payslip it showed she had been paid furlough for June and one weeks pay in lieu of notice.
She queried this saying it should have been three weeks but he then said no it was two.
She pointed out to him she was entitled to three weeks pay in lieu of notice on...
Thanks it may be that i have not explained it properly.
She got the statutory redundancy the query is to do with payment in lieu of notice.
He told her she would be employed until the 30th June and she would not be required to work her notice but would receive payment in lieu of notice instead...
Thank you for your reply.
She was told on the 26th May.
She had worked there for 3 years would have been 4 in August.
She was given statutory redundancy pay.
She was told she would not be required to work her notice and would receive a payment in lieu of notice.
It is confusing and she is trying...
My wife was made redundant at the end of June, she had been on furlough since March.
Her boss told her her employment would end on the 30th June unless an alternative job could be found for her in that time. They did create a job for someone else but never even told her about it so she had no...
She asked for an appeal and they said they would have to get an outside hr company in to do this.
This was set up and then they put all the staff on furlough but did say she could still appeal when this is all over.
Thanks for that i did misunderstand sorry.
I will speak to my wife and see if she will allow me to post what it is all about.
But based on the evidence they have failed to present i am pretty sure it is all made up or greatly exaggerated.
I hope i have misunderstood but could you please explain this.
My wife has decided to appeal but is aware it is a lost cause but you never know.
She is looking for a new job she says the atmosphere is toxic and she can no longer trust anyone there.
She is one of the older members of staff and...
Thanks for all the replys.
They were both accused of the same things but the other person admitted it all and even told them it was her and not my wife but they were not interested.
They produced no evidence at all just allegations and nothing to back them up with.
She has looked at the...
No she is not in a union.
It is only a small company 6 people in total, everything was fine until the owners wife came on board and then the problems seem to have started.
Thanks for the reply.
Neither have we seen this before but have a feeling this is personal as they provided no evidence no written statements or anything.
As per the title has anyone ever heard of a final written being given for this length of time ?
The reason for asking is the wife has just been given this, she has nothing else on her record and is deeply upset about this.
What makes it worse is two of them where accused of the same things but...
Sorry to hear that. We always found them helpful and easy to deal with they even refunded a months premium when we had our dog put to sleep.
Who charged the admin fee? because our vets never did nor did the insurers.
We used a company called Animal Friends, they paid up quickly everytime and whenever we needed to speak to them they were easy to deal with and very helpful.
Spoke to them in a very friendly and polite manner as they did to me, but they weren't prepared to offer much at all so I went ahead and cancelled.
All very amicable and over in less than 5 minutes.
Not really bothered at the moment as i'm saving a lot more than £120, but if they contact me...
