    Protecting documents in Word anyone?

no if you really wanted to you could physically copy the text or perhaps screengrab and use ocr software to convert to editable text. I seriously doubt anyone would want to copy my work in any case. Don't wanna look big headed! I just feel uneasy about giving out raw word files.

    Protecting documents in Word anyone?

I'm looking to do something which should be quite simple in my eyes but Word is making it unnecessarily complicated. I've just finished my msc dissertation and wish to send a copy to everyone who took part in the research. All I'm looking to do it protect the document so that these people...

Earn £10 for charity if you live in Northampton/Leicester

I'm bumping this for the evening crew. If you have a bit of spare time and would be willing to be 'online interviewed' instead (e.g. over messenger) then please pm me or reply with e-mail address (note I cannot donate money for online interviews but you'd be helping me massively!)

Earn £10 for charity if you live in Northampton/Leicester

I'm looking for people to take part in my research into peoples' general views towards counselling. I'm looking to (informally) interview about 20 people for a short time. Now the nub is that I'm not looking for students' views on the basis that they are likely to be different from the general...

Data recovery for a hd with a burnt chip?

Is this possible? The hd 'burnt out' and the chip on it had a big burn mark on it. However maybe the platters themselves are undamaged and could be hooked up to another circuitboard so the data could be recovered... Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how much it is likely to...

I want to learn to drive and my mate has agreed to give me some lessons. I want to get put on his insurance as a named driver. Do I have to get a year's worth of insurance? Is it going to be really expensive (obv depends on many factors, I'm 24 and the car is quite old P reg). Is this the...

    Hugh's Chicken Run

I'm sure there will be an item in the media somewhere if there is any significant change. It would be great if there was. If anything sees anything let us know!

360 red ring - power supply?

Seeing as I got my 360 back from microsoft and it had exactly the same error, it got me thinking. Could it have been the power supply? I mean, on the letter they sent back they said they tested it extensively, so wouldn't it crash for them too? I saw something on the net saying the 3 red...

Anyone sent 360 to be repaired, only to have exact same problem?

Yea I'm not happy I was buzzing when I saw UPS at the door. I'd only had live a few days as well, so I've still to play any games properly. It could be a blessing in disguise though, it might've distracted me from the revision and essays I should be stuck into! The annoying thing is though...

Anyone sent 360 to be repaired, only to have exact same problem?

Had three ring of death thing so was dubious when I recieved it about an hour ago and the letter said the DVD drive had been repaired. Does exactly the same, three rings after 5-10 mins in any game. Did the diagnostic thing posted in the FAQ and got code 0013 - which means overheating...

My bro's had a stuck (green) picel for a while. I ran that undead pixel software whilst rubbing the screen with a pen end and turning it on and off and what do you know it's gone. Just thought I'd let people know, it does sometimes work :)

    Discounts for students

Surely it's their loss if they don't give you at least a small discount, else you might spend the grand somewhere else?

Ageing system - cheapest way to upgrade for games?

Yea I guess it's best to do it all in one go, I'll wait. My policy has always been, upgrade the cpu when it's affordable to go twice as fast. So when I can afford to get the equivalent of a 6gig system then I'll upgrade (when that'll be I don't know!).

Ageing system - cheapest way to upgrade for games?

YeaI really do need to upgrade it all. Thing is though, I'd have to upgrade mobo cpu and ram like you said. Then the graphics card as well. So it'll be quite a few hundred pounds, which I'm not likely to be able to afford for a long time yet, so it's a tough one to call. I guess if I...
