So the last time I did a rebuild was...

Quick question...the 6800 needs 2x 8pin to power. I have a single power cable running from the PSU which splits to 2 x 6+2 connections. Can I use this or will I need to run another cable?

The other question is around the new Nvidia cards which are coming out in January - will that impact the 1440p GPU market? e.g I'm looking to spend around £350 - £450 but back for buck is most important

I wonder if an RX 6800 would work? I've seen them drop to around £389 now. Any other options worth considering around this price point?

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Specifically, in the case of the GivHY-5.0, it can input 6500W from DC, but output only output 3600W via the battery (with a maximum of 5000W if the PV panels are generating). I haven't heard of Sunsynk - thank you - I'll check them out

Solar panels and battery - any real world reccomendations?

Hi everyone, I am starting to look into installing a 20 panel PV array on a south facing roof. It is not shaded. I'd like to spec a large enough inverter to ensure we don't draw from the grid during the peak period, and instead use battery power (I'm thinking 10kwh battery). I'm also really keen...

    Mattresses - I need knowledge

Thank you to all who contributed to the thread. We've just bought a JR Artisan Naturals. In the accompanying PDF they recommend a topper. I think we'll try without one, at least initially, but could anyone recommend a topper for this mattress at all?

    Mattresses - I need knowledge

After a little advice. We have had an Emma original for 2 years. It has become painful for myself and the wife. I'm fairly tempted to pursue a claim given we paid on credit card. We are both looking for a firmer mattress and are not Toads (I'm 6ft 2, 13 stone, the Mrs is 9 stone). Looking at...

    Accident...what do I do?

First of all - sorry for posting - but I've no idea what to do.... Long and short of it: I had an accident this morning, the 3rd party has accepted all liability. Their insurers, Hastings, have called me to confirm this. I have logged the accident with my insurer, but I don't know what I...

If you're wanting to cook for ages, Aussie Heat beads are probably the best. I've never used them 'in the open' though. Only in my Pro Q smoker

    T6 Transporter Campervan Conversion

Thanks to @MrKnifey for supporting me via trust. @task - I've emailed the guy who you bought the wooden units from, and I'll phone him tonight as he's happy to help, which is really kind of him. I'll let you know how I get on, as I suspect he'll know quite a few good people, and I can go from...

Thank you @MrKnifey I've not yet received a trust, but would be keen to. I spoke to Ed this afternoon. He was great to speak to. He was going to email me a van they are selling, but never received anything. I'll ring him again if I don't get anything by Friday. O enjoyed speaking to him In...

    T6 Transporter Campervan Conversion

Thank you ever so much @task & @MrKnifey . MrKnifey, Did you get my trust? If not, please do trust me, and I'll email you straight back. I wonder how realistic it is to have different companies do different sections of the van? i.e. One to do roof, one to fit units, one to fit internals? I'm...

VW T5.1 4x4 Off-grid Camper Conversion - Eastern Europe Road Trip Content

The cabinets look great. I'm now wondering if I'd be better getting individual companies to do sections of the van, rather than handing it over to a 'one stop shop' like Vanworx?

    T6 Transporter Campervan Conversion

The 102ps can be comfortably mapped up to 150ps, I've been told. However the gearbox point remains, and I do take it on board.

    T6 Transporter Campervan Conversion

I have sent another trust - if you don't get it check your email on your trust as it could be out of date? Alternatively, it might be going to your spam? If all else fails, trust message me and I'll get straight back to you I do prefer a 6 speed(Curren Passat has, presumably, the same gearbox)...

    T6 Transporter Campervan Conversion

Hi @task! Thank you for sharing your experiences. What would be your top tips, should you have any? I wouldn't be converting myself, and instead handing it over to be done, so I'd be really keen to see more pics and see if you have an lessons you could pass on to a noob like me? Trust if you...
