There are some top level competitive M&K players... in fact there used to be one that was keyboard only! There's a bunch of settings that need tweaked for it though apparently (i'd help, but I play HOTAS/HOKAS), probably worth looking for a guide, or hopping on some of the competitive discords...

Many top tier competitive players use a range of xbox/ps controllers, the game devs fine tuned the engine around controller play so it does have a marginal advantage over joysticks/hotas etc. in some aspects (throw distance and control being the main).

Bizarre, I've played pretty much daily since release (apart from last 5-6 weeks due to newborn baby), and haven't seen a single thing. Maybe they just moved on and it wasn't particularly prevalent? I'm super active in the competitive community too and not heard a single peep about cheats since...

Ordered one of the few remaining ROG Strix Scar QHD 3070's from ocuk, couldn't wait any longer, as much as I did want the Legion 5 Pro. Really looking forward to it coming through, hopefully some time this week... not sure what they're like on delivery lead times at the moment.

On reddit, someone said live chat told them 2-3 weeks... I don't think anyone reliably knows tbh.

I think the Legion 5's were pretty well thought of last release. Only ETA floated atm is March for the 5 + 5 pro, but that's on Lenovo's US site, so not sure if same follows for UK... I'm hoping we don't get the brexit factor!

It’s a MaxP equivalent for this gen, 115w + 15w boost TGP. The Lenovo legion 5 pro that’s coming out supposedly in March has 125+15 and a qhd screen at a £1700-1800 price point. I’m in a quandary as to whether to wait for it or not, as I need a laptop ASAP, the ASUS in stock is tempting...

Thanks yeah, just found it myself not long ago, fwiw the article isn't wrong either, as the G533QR is also the same - it's the QHD variant of the same model, so I expected it was the same, which is good! Having had time to think I might bide my time a little and try and get something a little...

Annoying thing is they've not released the TGP for the G513QR, which is the model I'm looking at... I'm hoping it's the same as the G533QR and if so, I'll bite.

Any specific suggestions? Wouldn't be averse to looking at something cheaper as I still have my desktop for normal gaming.

I'm looking at the Asus A15 TUF or Asus ROG STRIX G15with 5800H & RTX 3070 - I'm waiting for confirmed TDP for the GPU though, as that seems to be the determining factor for graphics performance... if they're rubbish, I'm gonna look at the 3060 range as £1600-1700 is already stretching my limits.

Yeah all of the footage coming out are from EA "Game Changers", so keep a pinch of salt for the reactions - however, the footage itself is impressive. My own impression is that they want to create a modern XvT/XWA, but what that means in reality is borrowing elements of what made those games...
