What's really nice about it, is the beasty nature of the specs without any horrible garishness often associated with this spec of laptop. Loving the performance so far.
In fairness to OcUK, mine was very well packed and the Gigabyte box was sealed... but like someone else said, no support in the middle of the box.
Bought an MSI GS70 as a replacement, OcUK kindly did it for last week's price too :)
Just ordered the P35K Gamer... hope it arrives in good shape.
Was toying between the MSI GS70 and the Alienware 14... this looks like a better mix of power and not looking awful.
I was just looking at this today, ended up going with an EVGA 660ti SC 3gb version... paid £270 (Tottenham Court Road). Was trying to get the best card I could for 3 monitors (hence 3GB) and had to be less than 260mm (for my ITX case)... the 7950's appear to have a tiny bit more grunt overall...
Very clean build, will echo what others have said in that it looks roomy for an ITX build... a meaty GPU will sort that out :)
I like the cooler, what temps are you getting?
Personally would go Ivybridge rather than Sandybridge-E, for future upgrades, think socket 2011 is a dead socket...
Also, why go for Eyefinity bundle of monitors and then take a graphics card that wont game on them? You'd need 2 cards for 3 monitor gaming if you go nvidia right? So either get...
Exactly, is more for 3g/mobile data, but is a standard... plus I am old skool, 30 this year ;)
Temps have yet to breach 52 degrees on the i7, playing Dirt 3. It idles around 40 degrees. I've not OC'd it at all. I know I have a Z68 but that was mainly for the better SSD performance and better...
I like having a blurray drive... also the Scythe is pretty quiet - I tried to get a H50 in there (I got one from MM with the i7)... but I couldn't see a way of doing it without modding or losing either the graphics or optical.
I'm also wanting to squeeze a 3 or 4 TB HDD in there when prices...
This is nothing new or revolutionary, but I am very happy with this build, so wanted to show it off.
Silverstone Sugo SG05
Silverstone 450w SFX PSU
Intel i7 2600K
Scythe Shuriken Rev. B
Zotac Z68 ITX Wifi
PowerColor Radeon HD 6850 1GB (PCS+ edition, 8.5" long)
Crucial Ballastix Sport...
I don't have one anymore to give an exact measurement, but this one fits perfectly -

Which mobo or heatsink are you considering?
Just a quick question for any ISK 300 owners... can you tell me if you could fit a 15mm height 2.5" HDD in there along with a normal height SSD and a slim optical?
Thanks!
EDIT: Ignore me... going with a Sugo.
