Connecting ceiling speakers to sky etc

how many speakers are in the ceiling? are you going to need to buy some front speakers as well, as it may be that the speakers were put there for the surround part for a 7.1 or 5.1 setup. a good cheap av receiver i would look at would be the ONKYO TXSR333, it has 6hdmi inputs and 1 hdmi output...

    Upgrading 5yr old rig for ~ £200

Also you do not want to add one more stick since the board/processor you have is triple channel, hence having 3x 2Gb sticks. Best upgrade is just an SSD and graphics card as suggested.

    Strange Booting issue, help!

i would hazard a guess your motherboard may be the cause of your cold boot issue, maybe a contact somewhere is not making correctly until it has warmed a little. Try getting a hair-dryer and run some warm air over the motherboard for a few mins see if you still get the same "cold" boot issue...

is this a good computer table

yeah personally i've never got on with desks that have keyboard trays, like BluD said there is never enough room for mouse movement. I prefer a desk that has a rear raised section for the monitor to sit on so the keyboard and mouse are at the same level on the desk.

    What to upgrade?

is that one stick of 8gb ram or 2x4Gb ? as if you only have one stick i'd definately upgrade that so your at least running in dual channel mode.. Dump the 80Gb drive, get a 256Gb SSD and partition it to run both osx and win7, plus should have some room for your most played games on there. Just...
